I have two horses of my own who I have an unbreakable bond with. I first sat on a horse when I was four years old, a 16.2 Thoroughbred that took off with me on the lunge, I was hooked! I started having regular lessons at the age of five. By the time I hit my teens I was doing weekend work in a riding school which then became full time from when I left school.
Over the years I have gained several qualifications including BHS stages I and II, Riding and Road Safety, ABRS levels I - VI, Child Protection Certificate and First Aid Certificate. I have worked in various Riding Schools, Livery Yards, Competition Yards and been groom for a military Showjumping team. I have taught people from the age of four years to 84 in all disciplines from pleasure riding to competition, RDA sessions, escorted hacks, trained people for NVQ levels one and two as well as ABRS and BHS exams, prepared horses (and riders!) for competition from local shows to Royal Windsor Horse Show, Aldershot Horse Show and Hickstead.
And now...
I am teaching people of all ages on their own horses from novice to advanced levels in all disciplines, running a mobile clipping and trimming service, show preparation and a horse sitting service (so you can go on holiday!). I also do schooling and work with problem horses. My use of Monty Roberts techniques has helped me a lot with nervous horses (as well as my own non-loader who I took to a Monty Roberts Demo at Unex Towerlands in 2006) No horse is too big or small young or old and temperament is no issue to me!
