Hi Marion,

Great show (as usual) last Sunday evening at the Cally in Warranbool, and thank you for remembering and then stopping to talk to me about the “Jacks Back” CD I purchased at your previous gig. Must say your gig on Sunday was a great mix of music with the band members each taking leads and also introducing a bit of Jimmy Hendrix. Best earthy music and  vocals on stage south of the Equator.

Hello Marion and Steve, All the best for your mini tour of Tassie. I'm sure it will be a blast. That Jenny (Tassie Stalkers), can't wait. She seems very keen! Your artwork on Steve's bass drum is great, so much better than that piece of paper I had stuck on. Hope Rambo is cooking you up a meal at Longley. Blues on, Pete.

Hi guys Tassie Stalker here. Well just thought I would drop you guys a line to say hi. Just looked at the gig guide can not believe we have to wait till June before you are back in Tassie at the Longley International Hotel. Guess this is the price we have to pay for living in Tassie.:( Also just read the other comments from fellow Dog lovers, sounds like the trip to Thailand was a great success. The rest of the tassie stalkers and myself are preparing ourselves for a big weekend coming, it is the Taste of the Huon.!! Gee it would of been good to have seen you guys at the Longley International on the way back up to Hobart, as we have done in the past. Well till June Dogs have a good one, keep rocking!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers jen:wink:

Steve and Marion, awesome show, great to see Aussies setting Phuket on fire. Having seen you before locally when i was living in Melbourne, hope you make it up it to my adopted home of the Gold Coast (it's a bit embarassing to say i've seen the LA acts more often live than the Aussies but send alot of time out the country racing), Kelvin www.aussierunner-the-sequel.blogspot.com

Jack's Back! is a breath of fresh air on contemporary blues scene! Simple as it may sound, it contains layers of feelings which is a rare occurence these days. Blues fans in Macedonia liked what they heard! Keep up the good work! Can't wait fo a new Salty Dog release!

We bought your cd's at the festival Jack's Back and your Wild guitar cd Steve in the package and they both rock...Thanks for the great entertainment!:D

Well they said "you will not get West coast punters to a Blues gig " so one hundred plus proved them wrong, and what a session it was,the move to the bar area was a winner,I didn`t want the night to finish, no trouble exept for the young lady who had the hots for Viv our Queenie drummer, the gig is all the talk in town so once again thanks for adding us to the Salty Dog Tassie calendar, see you in the summer, cheers Stretch.

Marion & Steve, thanks for my 'Salty fix'. Yet again your visit to Tassie has been great to see. Both at the new 'Mayf' venue where a small but appreciative crowd were blown away by your show and the old favorite - the Longley Hotel. Wall to wall people rockin' from the first song. With the addition of your drummer, especially the fact that he was recruited with little or no rehearsals other than listening to your CD's ( well done Peter )really add to the power of your performance. You just get stronger every time I see you. And I can't sign off without plugging Jack's Back. What a sensational CD, love the raw sound and play it LOUD!! it's like you are actually in the room.To anyone contemplating seeing Salty Dog play live or buying a CD, don't think it, do it. You are in for an awesome experience. Andrew

I first heard 'Jack of Diamonds' on the first Masters of the CBG CD. Since then I have checked the net many times trying to find the whole album. Next thing I know, I have it AND the new album. Read the reviews below to see what the live shows are like. But if you're like me and live half a world away: BUY THE CD. The songs it contains are phenomenal. If you thought Australia was just Kangaroos, wallabies, and big croc-skin handle bowie knives, think again! There is also some of the most kick-ass, unique hill country blues you've ever heard! Mr. Alderfer, I second your notion- when is the US tour? And now a shameless plug: if you like these guys, check 'em out on the only radio station that plays ONLY cigar box guitar music, Tha Goat. It's raw, it's real, it's primal, and it rocks. http://www.live365.com/stations/tha_goat
