The International year of Astronomy

2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, where the world will commemorate the 400th annivesary of Galileo's use of a telescope to study the skies and Kepler's publication of Astronomia Nova.  It is also the anniversary of many other historical and astronomical events, including Huygen's 1659 publication of Systema Saturnium.

This semester in IT, we will be exploring our universe and studying many of the astronomers who have contributed to our understandings of the Universe.
