Information for Visitors
Saint Alban's House is small and simple, and at this time does not have the ability to facilitate large groups, however visitors are welcomed and hospitality will be extended to all guests. It is most helpful if you contact Father Rob at least a month prior to your anticipated visit in order to ensure that he will not be out of town or otherwise engaged when you wish to visit. At the time of your communication, Father Rob will assit you in planning your retreat. You may wish to discern ahead of time if you wish to use your time away as a Contemplative Retreat (prayer focused), a Study Retreat (educational), or a Working Retreat (assisting with needs in the house).
Visitors should plan to bring: Bible, spiritual reading material, comfortable clothing, shoes, and socks, any personal care items (towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, body-wash, etc), perscription and over the counter medications, calling card or cellular phone.
Towels and meals will be provided.
All visitors should plan to arrive before 5 PM local time unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
All visitors are expected to participate in the Liturgy of the Hours and the Divine Liturgy while they are present.
All visitors should plan to depart before 7 PM local time unless other arrangments have been made ahead of time.
Because of the limited space in the house, it is recommended that visitors with special needs contact Father Rob well in advance of their visit in order to determine if their needs can be met.
Those desiring to visit but not to spend the night at the House may wish to consult with Father Lyons about nearby hotel selections.
No fixed fee is charged for retreats, but all visitors are requested to prayerfully consider a donation to assist in defraying the costs associated with the House.
