Sailor Moon was created by the great Naoko Takeuchi starting out as a manga and later turned into an anime. Around 1995 it was handed over to DIC to be produced as a children's show in America. Dic dubbed the first 72 episode which equates to Sailor Moon Classic and part of Sailor Moon R. Quite a few years later Cloverway acquired the rights to dub the remaining episodes of Sailor Moon R and then did Sailor Moon S and SuperS. The last season/story arc, Sailor Moon Stars, will (unfortunately) not be dubbed in English as of this point.
What is Sailor Moon about you ask? The anime shows the rather hectic life of one, Serena Tsukino who has to live life both as a school-girl in Japan and a super-heroine. She is joined by her friends Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina respectively who also help her fight evil. There are several other Sailor Scouts who appear later in the series, Amara (Sailor Uranus), Michelle (Sailor Neptune) Trista (Sailor PLuto) and Hotaru (Sailor Saturn).
