In my C++ class we created a program to calculate the area and perimeter of a rectangle. The program also then found the length of the diagonal or cross section of the rectangle. Here is the C++ Source file and the executable file. We had to also create and turn in a program that would use the Quadratic formula to calculate X. Here is the C++ Source file and here is the executable file.

Friday/August 29th/2008/12:08 p.m./Josh
I have recently begun a C++ class and as such we made an example Hello World program. I have uploaded the .exe file as well as the Source file so that people can look at the code if they please.

Tuesday/August 12th/2008/10:20 a.m./Josh
I finished adding the rest of my applications to the Other Programs/PC Programs page.

Tuesday/August 5th/2008/4:56 p.m./Josh
I reogranized the Other Programs/PC Programs page to make it more simple. In the process I added some more programs to it and made Sean's Chess game easier to access as well. I still have a few more applications to add to the page within a day or two.
*UPDATE 10:42 p.m.*
I added the rest of the applications that I wanted to include. I have a few more applications that I may upload sometime though. These apps can pretty much all be found on TI's website but I put them here as mostly a backup for myself and anyone else who may want the programs.

Thursday/July 31st/2008/2:57 p.m./Josh
I updated the Hex converter a couple weeks ago and I am just now getting around to putting it on the site. GSDECHEX now is able to convert between decimal and binary and vice versa. Also, the Hex converter is only able to convert to two Hex digits or FF. After that it is not accurate and this is because it was designed specifically to aid in making Gameshark codes for a Gameboy game. The binary converters are fully functional though and can be used in all cases.

Wednesday/July 16th/2008/3:56 p.m./Josh
Here is a bunch of programs that have not been uploaded to the site yet. The first is a BMI program I made to calculate a person's BMI. It was simple and quick to make. A few months back we went over Fibonaci's sequence in Calculus II so I made a program to display the FIBONACI sequence. GSDECHEX is a decimal system to hex converter and vice versa. I made it after tinkering with some Gameshark codes. You can see a screen shot of it below. I started a RPG about two years ago and never really got around to finishing it. It was meant to be a customized character and then you use that created character to battle another person. JRPG is available with what I had in case someone wants to view the code.

Wednesday/April 16th/2008/4:27 p.m./Josh
JDonalds PC was released today. It is played through the internet rather than on a calculator. To play it, simply click the button link to the left which will load the main page. Enjoy!

Sunday/December 9th/2007/4:13 p.m./Josh
I uploaded a Newtons Method program that I made a few months back. NEWTONS3 is useful for Calculus I. The navigation bar to the left is now more functional with many forum related links added to make the forum easier to traverse. Updates don't happen as much as they have in the past to this site. The Forum is where most of the action takes place so check there if you want to know what is happening.

Tuesday/April 10th/2007/3:03 p.m./Josh
A new program has been uploaded that most likely will be of use in a Calculus BC class or Second Year Calculus class. DISTNC3D is a program for finding the distance between two points on a 3D graph. It's very simple but will save some time in the long run.

Tuesday/March 27th/2007/2:52 p.m./Josh
It has been quite a while since this site was last updated. ManualSearch has informed me that the JBoard I had uploaded was not the final version. I have uploaded the latest version which can be found here. You can see the related post in the forum here. In other news you can set up yourself a shoutbox to go with your forum or site or even a wikibox at the following link: Free Comic Services It's quite useful.

Tuesday/December 12th/2006/2:10 p.m./Josh
With finals nearing in my school district people want to know the grade they need to make on their final in order to keep their grade or to get a certain grade. So, I made this simple program to calculate that for them. It's called, FINALJ, and it is accurate for my school district's grade weightings. If you have different weights at your school, you may change the weights placed in the program to meet yours if need be.

Friday/November 17th/2006/4:21 p.m./Josh
Sean has created an awesome chess game using Java, which you can download here. Just right click it and then click "Save Target As..." to save it. Once you have it saved to your computer open the file in the folder that says, "SeanChessHTML" to play it. The game offers the ability to play as either black or white, restart mid-game, and even to play music while you play with about 50 preloaded music files in it. Some of these music files include, Star Wars theme, Hotel California by the Eagles, Pink Panther theme, Mission Impossible theme, and various other songs. You can also join in on the thread about it in the forum. I hope you enjoy this game.

Tuesday/November 14th/2006/7:52 p.m./Josh
You can now listen to music while you view this site. Simply click the link on the left that says Web Radio Stations or click here. It will take you to a page with a list of web radio stations and sites that feature music file downloads all of which are legal. The list is updated whenever a new station is contributed by someone to the list. So it continues to grow in size and variety.

Thursday/September 21st/2006/12:26 p.m./Josh
Today marks the one year anniversary for the JGames forum. If you haven't already joined, you still have the opportunity to become a member. Everyone at JGames hopes for more years of enjoyment to come.

Tuesday/September 5th/2006/5:11 p.m./Josh
Trevor has released several more games, which, are listed in the next sentence. BOMB, BOXMASTA, FROGGERT, PONG, PUZZTILE, SLIDPUZZ, TEEJUMP, and TXHOLDEM. There descriptions are listed on the downloads page, as I simply don't have the time right now to list all of them here, since I have to go to soccer practice.

Thursday/August 31st/2006/5:08 p.m./Josh
JGames now has a toolbar, which, you may download here. It has a search function on it as well as quick access links to JGames and a few of its affiliates.

Friday/August 18th/2006/1:17 p.m./Josh
To the left you will notice that there are there new links, which, consist of Log in, New Account, and Log out. You can use those to access and use the forum on this page, without leaving the site and at the same time viewing the forum. The Forums link will display the forums on this page, but if you would like to have the forum detached in a separate window you may click the link above on this page to bring it up in a new window.

Saturday/August 12th/2006/7:01 a.m./Josh
Patrick has released JBoard, which is a simple computer game. Each player takes turns moving around the board and landing on numbered spaces to score points. If you would like the ZIP file, which, includes the Readme instead of just the .exe file, you may download it here. It slipped my mind until at the moment of this update, but the JGames website has been in effect for a year now and one month. JGames hopes to continue to bring you more programs and games in the future.

Monday/July 17th/2006/10:31 p.m./Josh
GOLF is another program by Trevor, which is quite fun. It's miniature golf that is very simple to play and fun at the same time. A good game, to say the least.

Friday/July 14th/2006/2:04 p.m./Josh
SYSTEM2 is an update of SYSTEM released a while back. This version fixed a few errors and allows for the user to adjust the contrast of the display screen. xLib is required for the SYSTEM programs. Trevor has agreed to allow the hosting of his games on the JGames website as of recently, so to begin, here is his DDRM game, which is a calculator version of Dance Dance Revolution and his TANKS game, which is the classic aim and shoot tank game for the TI-83's and TI-84's.

Tuesday/July 4th/2006/11:57 a.m. and 10:57 p.m./Josh
Instead of making a JDodge 22, I have just updated JDODGE21, with the few extra features, so you may want to redownload it. All of its original features are still included as well. You can now choose to have objects fall at you from above, upward, to the left or to the right and a few more characters have been added that include, a blank space, colon, question mark, apostrophe and a comma. Enjoy this version of JDodge. A mini-walkthrough has been constructed and is available for viewing, here. Maybe this will help someone in some way.

Tuesday/June 27th/2006/11:14 a.m./Josh
You can now download JDODGE21, which is basically a patch to JDodge 20 that simply gives you more options. In this version, you can customize your controls to all the buttons but the on button. Aside from the default control set-up, I recommend two other sets of controls to use. One includes, making the left arrow move left, the right arrow move right, the down arrow pause, and then the up arrow go to your options menu. The other is more for lefties. Set the ALPHA button to move left, the (X, T, theta, n) button to move right, 2nd to pause, and Mode to access the options menu. Of course, you can customize it to fit you. There are a total of 29 characters available for both your character and the enemy of your choice. These include all the letters, the period, theta, and if you press enter while choosing, the squared symbol. I recommend (A, H, I, M, O, X, and the period) for character choices, and then (H, I, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and the period) for the choice of enemy. There is also an Auto Pilot feature, so if feel so, you may watch the computer play. Your save file from the previous version of JDodge will still be compatible with this version, so you do not need to worry about restarting your game over again either. Four screen shots can be seen below.

Monday/May 29th/2006/10:37 p.m./Josh
JMATHLIM has been uploaded for download. It is a game that was inspired by the new Brain Age game from Nintendo. Ih the game, you are given a time limit that continuously decreases, until it hits zero. YOu must get as many math problems right as you can in that frame of time. It has a ranking system for how well you did and records your score as you play. For every problem you get right, five will be added to your total time left as a bonus, but if you miss a problem, ten will be subtracted from the clock. Also, Patrick Gephart is working on a game for the PC that he calls JBoard. As a result, he has released this demo of JBOARD for everyone to try.

Saturday/May 6th/2006/2:46 p.m./Josh
JDRAW2 has been uploaded for download. It allows the user to draw pictures with options such as, drawing a line and placing text. It has an undo feature among others to allow for easy picture design. A screen shot has been provided as an example of what you can create.

A new program titled, SYSTEM has been uploaded to the list of programs. You will need, xLib to run it though, if you want it to work properly. The program allows you to Garbage Collect, clean your memory of unneeded variables and view system information.

Thursday/April 14th/2006/3:17 p.m./Josh

The TV in the top left corner also has been modify to display a random image on the screen whenever you visit this website. I hope to modify the colors to match the Forum later today too. Okay, it took about two hours to change all the colors around, but I did it.

Monday/March 20th/2006/2:08 p.m.
I have no idea why, but for some reason, COMPLEX was never placed into the list of downloadable programs and games. It has now been added for you to use. This program is useful for Pre-Calculus and the chapter in the book dealing with Complex numbers.

All of which, are included in the one download for your ease.
