JDodge Mini- Walkthrough
You may choose to have the objects to fall to the left, right, up or down. There is no difficulty change between the modes, however, when you activate a new play mode, such as objects fall left, then the controls will switch to default so as to not make it harder on the user. They can easily be changed back to the way the user prefers via the controls setting.
Josh Mode- Makes you invincible; nothing much else you can say about that.
Slomo- Makes the game slower. If you are playing it on a TI-83+ Silver Edition, TI-84+, or a TI-84+ Silver Edition, it will make it to about the speed of the game running on a TI-83+ regular calculator.
5X Score- When you die, your score will be five times without the cheat activated.
Auto Pilot- Turn it on and let it play for you. It will never die. You can still control it when it is activated.
Your save file from JDodge 20 will still work in JDodge 21, so you do not need to restart from scratch. As usual, you can save by going to the options menu in mid game, or load before you start a game or after you have lost.
You can customize your controls to all the buttons but the on button. Aside from the default control set-up, I recommend two other sets of controls to use. One includes, making the left arrow move left, the right arrow move right, the down arrow pause, and then the up arrow go to your options menu. The other is more for lefties. Set the ALPHA button to move left, the (X, T, theta, n) button to move right, 2nd to pause, and Mode to access the options menu. Of course, you can customize it to fit you. Default controls for when the objects fall left or right are as follows: the up arrow moves up, the down arrow moves down, 2nd pauses the game and MODE goes to options. These can be changed and the most useful controls change that I recommend is one of simalarity to the ones stated above.
There are a total of 33 characters available for both your character and the enemy of your choice. These include all the letters, theta, a comma, a colon, a question mark, an apostrophe, a blank space, and if you press enter while choosing, the squared symbol. I recommend (A, H, I, M, O, X, and the period) for character choices, and then (H, I, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and the period) for the choice of enemy when the objects are falling down. For objects falling up- Character choices: (H, I, M, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y, theta, apostrophe, and the colon) Enemy choices: (A, I, M, O, X, theta, apostrophe, and the colon) For objects falling left- Character choices: (B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, X, theta, and the colon) Enemy choices: (H, I, O, X, Z, colon, theta, question mark, and the squared symbol) For objects falling right- Character choices: (H, I, X, Z, theta, colon, question mark, and the squared symbol) These are only recommendations and do not necessarily have to be followed.
