Merse snaps up young left back. |
Everton youngster Danny Fox has signed with Walsall on a two-year deal from Everton on a free transfer. Danny Fox's dad even cancelled his season ticket subscription with Everton to see his sone play at Bescot, so at least thats one more season ticket! One of the main factors of his arrival is the fact that his former Everton team mate, Anthony Gerrard has alo signed for Walsall. Walsall fought off competition from Yeovil and Port Vale for his signature, and Bournemouth's cheif scout gave Fox a phone call to hijack the deal, but Fox's mind was already made up.

Pead signs up. |
Coventry city defender Craig Pead has signed a two year deal with Walsall after a successful loan period. He has also urged boss Paul Merson to carry on playing, because he still believes that he can do a job on the field. He also commented that he feels that Walsall's current squad is strong enough for a promotion push next year, and that is music to the ears of Saddlers fans as it is nice to hear that the player has that much confidence in himself and the team.
