Captain wants Bescot buzz
|
| AS THE Saddlers prepare for three home games in the space of seven days, Dean Keates has urged supporters to play their part in helping the club maintain their League One status.
"I know the fans can get this place rocking," he said. "I've seen it firsthand on many occasions during my time at the club. They're a great bunch of fans and they can be our 12th man.
"It's a massive week for the club and although the next three games may not fully determine the outcome of our season, they will certainly have a massive bearing on where we finish.
"Whether we score in the first minute or the last, as long as we win, that's all that matters. If the fans can stick with us to the end, I'm sure we can give them something to cheer about." |

April fools from the Official site!

THE SADDLERS have been rocked by the news that no fewer than SEVEN players have been forced to pull out of our April Fools Day clash at Blackpool.
It represents a major headache for manager, Kevan Broadhurst in what is a crucial game for the club.
Daniel Fox and Dean Keates have been laid low by food poisoning after tucking into candifloss and toffee apples yesterday, whilst Anthony Gerrard sustained a back injury after falling off an errant donkey on the beach.
These unfortunate incidents have been compounded by Chris Westwood injuring an ankle whilst stepping off a tram, Simon Osborn coming down with a bout of sickness after enjoying a ride on the 'Wild Mouse' roller-coaster at the famous Pleasure Beach, Mark Wright breaking a couple of toes after a ballroom dancing session with Ian Roper and Pablo Mills' failure to return after a trip up Blackpool Tower. "I can't believe our rotten luck," sighed Broadhurst. "To have one or two of them ruled out would be bad enough but to lose seven players is unbelievable." |

Some Walsall fans have expressed their feelings over Barrowmans poor performances and believe he should be replaced by James Constable. Barrowman failed to hit the target in the 2-0 defeat against Yeovil, but Constable hasn't played since the 2-0 home win over Blackpool, which he score both goals in.
