Sadaqah Feesabilillah

Ahlaan wa Sahlaan...

وَأَنفِقُوا مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَاكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَأَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat) of my wealth , and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah]

Abu Hurayrah and Ibn Umar Radiyallahu Anhum narrated that the Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alayhi wa Sallam said:

!خَيْرُ اْلبِقَاعِ اْلمَسَاجِدُ, وَشَرُّ اْلبِقَاعِ اْلأَسْوَاقُ!

 The places most dearest to Allah are the Masaajid, and the places most hated by Allah are the marketplaces.

Have you ever thought of how it would benefit our Masaajid if we put our pocket change and extra dollars together? Unlike our personal responsibilities to our homes and businesses, the responsibility to the Masaajid is commanded upon all of us, by Allah, and thus shared by everyone. The Masaajid are the centers of our lives on earth. They are the places where we worship Allah, learn our deen, increase in love for our fellow Muslims, and learn to spread goodness to the entire human family. Our Masaajid need our help to continue to be the best institutions in our lives. Just how much does it take, from each of us, to maintain these centers of Noor (light) in our towns?

In a small way, we can make a big difference by using this website. We can begin by setting aside $1 to $5 every week, or so, and donating what we can to a Masjid and Charitable Organization. Two or three Masaajid and one Charitable Organization will be selected each month, in rotation, to be featured for donations on the "Masjid of the Month" page.  Inshaa Allah, this will increase the donations they receive for that month, and Inshaa Allah every masjid listed will be given a chance to be featured, until all are featured.  Then, we will start over again. Also, the Muslims will be free to donate to any masjid, at any time, on the "Masaajid List" pages.  We will rotate the Masaajid and Charitable Organizations based on all the submissions we receive. Please submit as many Masaajid as you can so that we can all continue to help in a small way, Feesabilillah!

It's simple. First, we need to develop the list of Masaajid and Charitable Organizations. To do this, we need those who are qualified, with permission from the Masaajid or Charitable Organizations, to fill in the form with the requested information on the "Get Listed" page. Each Masjid and Charitable Organization has to use either a PayPal and/or Revolution MoneyExchange account to directly receive these instant donations. This is important so that donations can be made and processed immediately, directly into the Masaajid accounts.  After we receive the information through this site, each Masjid and Charitable Organization will be listed, free of charge, with a profile on the Masaajid pages, which will include its brief history, schedules, and more. Most importantly, with a few clicks, the Masjid or Organization will receive your donations, directly from you.

This is a much-needed opportunity.  May Allah make it easy for us to continue to support Allah's Houses. May Allah grant us this chance to purify our earnings in a far-reaching, yet secret way. May Allah reward you all for your good intentions and efforts. May Allah make us of those who spend of their wealth wisely. Ameen.
