Hi there, thanks for popping into Sachabreen!  My name is Alison Carter and my small home style cattery is registered with the GCCF - the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy.

I live with my husband Bruce, 3 retrievers and 9 beautiful Persian cats in a small village near Kings Lynn in Norfolk. Although I’ve owned retrievers for over twenty years, there has always been a cat in my house, in fact from before I was born!

My future breeding plans at Sachabreen include selfs bi and tri colours - with over 200 beautiful colours one has to try to be focused!

I’ve been so lucky to share my life for the past fifteen years with this stunning breed. My first in 1993 was a Chocolate Point called Jucridor Chocolate Fleur – pet name, Pollyanna Pushkins! She decided almost immediately however that her extra special someone was not me at all but my eldest son! She absolutely doted on him and more often than not slept in his room at night, waking him up every morning by washing his ears!  (At least I knew they got done!) When I lost her at only ten years to an inconsiderate driver on our quiet country lane, it taught me a very valuable and heartbreaking lesson and we were all devastated. We have since moved from that house, but I still feel terribly guilty to this day that I allowed her free outside when I had been advised not to . . . .

On a happier note I would like to say a massive thank you to all the breeders who have entrusted their gorgeous cats to me, and who have played such a big part in the birth of this cattery, Trish Carpenter at Catarosa, Chris Barrell at Barrkudos and Daphne Haines at Picturbebook. In particular Daphne who has become a dear friend and adviser and to whom I shall remain forever gratetful for the many hours of phone time, support, advice and hands on attention she has happily given me since we met in 2003.

I aim to breed beautiful Persians as close as possible to the GCCF Standard, (no cat is purrfect!), but more importantly, to breed happy healthy, confidant cats of good solid type with excellent loving temperaments. My babies will only ever be reared indoors, and as I don’t work outside the home, my cats (and dogs!) have lots of attention and are well used to normal household life.  By the way, all my kittens’ new mums and dads will need to conform to the Sachabreen Standard by having excellent ‘cattitudes’ toward feline loving and caring, be open to advice, and display happy sunny temperaments themselves! 

All Sachabreen kittens will be placed in indoor homes only………remember Pollyanna……
