In JROTC, our mission statement is " To motivate young people to be better citizens." The program stays true to its goal. In this program, cadets LET 1,2,3,and 4 learn to appreciate the ethical values that underlie good citizenship, develop leadership potential and learn to live and work cooperatively with others, think logically and communicate effectively both orally and in writing, appreciate the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health, understand ways to resist negative peer pressure and support others, develop mental management abilities, become familiar with military history as it relates to America's culture and with the history, purpose, and structure of the military services, understand the importance of high school graduation to a successful future, and they will learn about college and other advanced educational and employment opportunities, and develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team. Every high school individual is encouraged to join the program because of its positive benefits.
