"There is not a player in this leage that does not have 5 minutes to sign his name" - Jeremy Roenick

SWB Yankees Minor League Game (August 2007)

On my way to pick my brother up at camp, my dad and I stayed in a hotel right next to the SWB Yankees stadium, so i got tickets for that nights game for something to do. I went to the game with some blank index cards and bought a team ball. I printed out a roster before in the hotel, and was studding names. After the 5th inning, their first baseman, Eric Duncan, caught a ball to end the inning and was walking towards the dugout. My seats were about 5 rows up, so i called his name out and he threw me the game ball. It was so cool. After the game, i found a BUNCH of auto seekers. Mostley little kids with the parents and stuff. So i set up and just waited for the players to come out of the lockers. Got the whole team on a ball, and got Duncan to sign my game ball and i talked to him for a while. All around great game and got some decent autos.

Washington D.C. Auto Show (1/25/07)

My friends Sean, Ali, and Wes and I wanted to go to the auto show really bad. Although the are not autograph collectors, they wanted to wait in line with me to see Jason Campbell, Chris Cooley and Renaldo Wynn. When we first got in line for Campbell, it looked to be a 20 min wait. But then, as always, people started 'joining' friends in line and cutting. So we waited about 40 min just for Campbell. He was really cool though and talked for a while. He signed my ball and gave me a signed picture. I wish I would have asked him to personalize it.... Anyway, after campbell we knew we ought to get in line for Cooley and Wynn, and sure enough there was already at least an hour & 1/2 wait. We got in line at around 6:40, and they were suppose ti be there around 7:00. we waited and 7:00 came and went...finally they got there at 7:50!!! So then, after the wait in line we were finally next up. Wynn kept to himself, but Cooley was so tight. We talked some and I told him how I loved his nickname (captian chaos). So when he signed my ball  he inscribed "Captian Chaos" on my ball. It is one of my favorite autographs, and was WELL worth the wait. They were also nice enough to pose for a photo.

Capitals Practice (November 2006)

After two long months of school, we finally had a day off. I decided I would go to a Caps practice and try to get some autographs. We drove down there early to try and get some autos as players were parking their cars. I saw Matt Bradley and asked, but he said he would sign inside. We waited some more and finnally we went inside. We looked around the arena for a bit and then decided to go down to where the players locker rooms were. I saw Chris Clark talking to some guy and once he was finshed, asked if he would sign. He laughed, and asked if I was skipping school, (becuase it was 11:30 on a school day). I told him I had the day off and stuff. Great guy. He gladley signed a puck for me and right when he was finshed, Ben Clymer came out. I got his auto and decided this was a good spot. As players came out they all signed. I only missed Brashear, Pettinger, Ovechkin, Zubrus, Pothier and Semin. During the practice I reconized Zednick walking towards the locker room. I asked if he would sign, and although originally he said no, a bunch of little kids came, so he signed for all. I also saw Heward looking in on the practice. His left arm was bandaged, but he gladley signed an index card for me. It turns out Semin and Pothier didnt practice but afterwards, I went to the parking lot and got Pettie, Brashear, Zubrus and Ovechkin. Although I was thrilled to meet Ovi, He was not the best by far. He didnt say a word and signed my silver card with some other guy's crappy silver sharpie! Not a good combonation. Afterwards, I saw him again and asked if he could sign a index card. I knew he reconized me but he aggreed and that was a better sig (even though it was, again, in silver...).

Totals: Kolzig, Bradley, Johnson, Morrision, Eminger, Gordon, Clark, Pettinger, Heward, Clymer, Zubrus, Hanlon(coach), Ovechkin, Pettinger, Brashear, Zednick, Green, and Sutherby.

Not a bad trip for 1 and 1/2 hour!
