1. Intro-Okay, I don't write all too many guides, not going to use updates, I'm basically just going to write it all tonight.  I will  add suggestions from viewers as soon as possible without notice.  Little background,  Been playing Runescape 2 long enough to know  A LOT of people have trouble with money, either from lack of common sense, or sure stupidity.  From low level beggars, to the level 100 still picking flax or mining rune essence.  This guide will be short and simple, go into details minorly, and tell you quick and slow ways of money making, and which to choose.

Begging is not an option, and will not be listed.  It's annoying, and just makes you look bad, so don't.  Seriously.  I dub anyone that begs a noobolisious floob.  Okay, now that that's out of the way, let me continue with REAL money making methods on Rs2

2.Hacks, scams, warnings Well, this section will be relatively fast.  It's mainly common sense For starters, don't give out your password, don't give out your personal information if it concerns with the password recovery questions, and DON'T forget to set them.  It can save your account if you by some misfortune do get hacked.  Also, there are no rune upgrades, armor upgrades, free trimming, and be careful around people offering to cut gems for free, or do a crafting or Smiting task with your ores/bars.  If they do go back on their side of the deal, then report them, and don't cry over spilt milk and all of that.  It's only coins, and you can quickly make money over again, because you have a great guide. ;)  Also, don't sell your bones.  You need that prayer for your main character; if you want a piker name, make a new account.  There are no limits on how many accounts you can have.

3.a-intro---So you started up runescape today, and need money.  Coins.  Mullah.  Green/gold.  Whatever.  There are a few alright ways to make your first thousands.    Most of this is for noobs.  The worst thing to do is pick bannanas, so just don't alright?  Anyone of these will get you faster money.

3.b-fighting---First off, fighting for it.  Chickens and sell their feathers, cows and sell their hides, and goblins and sell numerous things they drop.  You will get the most of your money selling feathers and hides to players, where as everything goblins drop BUT for goblin mail.  Hold on to 4 goblin mails for the Goblin Diplomacy quest, and sell the rest to questing players.  As your strength grows, you will be able to kill higher level monsters.  Use common sense.  Bigger bader  and higher level monster killing, you get better and more rare items.  The best monsters to kill are dragons, and some giant type monsters.  It's good to get your level up before doing these things, especially prayer.

3.c-Rune Essence, Flax, vials.---Okay, this is often faster money then fighting, but can become VERY BORING.

Rune Essence- First off, you have to do the Rune Mysteries quest.  It's not too hard; I'll give you a short guide on it anyways.  If you have already done this, skip this part.

Before even starting this quest, on the top left corner, open the runescape map.  This will help you locate things much better.

First, speak to “duke Horacio” on the second floor of Lumbridge castle.  He will give you a talisman and tell you to go to the head wizard.  Go there; it is in the bottom floor of the wizard’s tower.  He will give you another item to give to the rune seller in varrlock.  The symbol for the shop is a flame.  He will give you something to give to the wizard, so head back to the wizard’s tower.  Then, the head wizard will explain all about runecrafting.  And you are done with one of the easiest quests in runescape.

Now to get to the money, well, first off, you need a bronze-Rune pickaxe.  The better the pickaxe the faster you get the rune essence.  It doesn't matter what level you are, you will still get essence in the same amount as you did when you first started using your current pickaxe.   Go to varrlock, and go with your pickaxe to the rune seller, and select transport Abury.  Then go to the rune essence, sometimes you will be put in the middle and have to do some walking, and mine it.  It will automatically mine in till you have a full inventory.  After you are done, find the portal around the rune essence, go to the bank just north of there and bank it all.  Repeat the process.  Once you have 1k+ sell it.  The price varies, and this isn’t a good job to do forever.  Just something to get started.    But anyways, the price can be anywhere from 15-40 coins each essence.  I suggest using a calculator, and choose which price you want to use.  30 each is usually the price, but as I said, it does vary, and in less you want to wait at a bank yelling rune essence 40 each in till someone finally buys, use 30.

3.d-vials---This isn’t one I’ve personally tried, but I’ve seen it done, and it can be done.  First off, you have to be a member, and get to level 33 crafting.  How to do this; mine clay south west of Varrlock with one jug in your inventory.  Go north-west, in the castle courtyard, and fill your jug up.  Use it with the clay to get soft clay, and repeat..  Next, go west, and use the potter’s wheel in south barbarian village.  Make pots, bowls, and pie tins, drop them while walking to mine more clay, or bank them, and keep doing this in till you reach 33 crafting.

Now you are ready to make vials.  Go to port suraim WITHOUT any weapons or armor, and about 10 buckets, talk to the monks, and you are on your way to Enchantria.  In the north-eastern shore, collect seaweed, and near the herblore shop, fill buckets with sand.  Cook the seaweed, and use the soda ash with the stove, and get a glass blowing pipe which I believe can be found in the bar. With the molten glass,Choose vial.  Go bank it, go back with your glass blowing pipe, and repeat.  Again I recommend not selling in till having 1k, and it sells 25-100 coins.

3e-Flax---  Flax may be the best selling of all the quick money methods.  It’s fast, and currently a good price to sell, but it is decreasing in value, as more people are going into this.  The same thing happened to rune essence.  But, you need cash, need it fast, so for now it’s the best thing you have.  Again, it’s a member’s only feature.  The absolute best place to do this is in the gnome stronghold just south of the bank, there is a single flax plant. Pick it in till you have full inventory, go north, and bank it.  Repeat.  Most people buying need either to make bow strings for high alchemy, crafting experience, or to resale sometimes for twice as much, and the added bonus of crafting experience.

I do not suggest making it into bow strings, for 2 reasons.  1. It takes longer then its worth; you can gather 5 flax in the time it takes to make one bow string, and 2. It takes away the crafting customers.  It is worth 100 coins each, to 150, but does take longer then just picking 5 flax.  Go on; time it if you don’t believe me.  See?  Okay, so with flax, I won’t shut up with this, but don’t sell in till you have at least 1k.  Sell either in the crafting forms, or in the fletching. It can sell for 100, but not too often, most of the time just 50, but it adds up over time.

3.f-Drop partys -If you don't mind being called a noob every 5 seconds, then go to drop partys.  Look over the message boards daily, under clans, and events and find drop partys.  If you are a member, go to petes party room in seers village, and switch worlds till you find good items in the chest and wait.  It can be very fast, but it is a cheap way of making money

3.g. Buy things at stores sell back to players-Okay, this might be good, might not, depends on the item. Some things people buy, that you can buy, things like spades, Runes at the magic store, staffs, and so on.   If you see an item that a lot of people buy/sell in a shop, use that (and email it to me if you want it added to the guide)

4.Cash for stats---  This one can be better, but takes some time to start making big money with.   First, select the skill.  Near any skill you want to work with, but combat and that sort of thing.  I will go over alchemy in my next section.  Okay, so with this, the idea is to get one non-combat skill up to a high level to make or obtain the best item possible in that skill, and sell it.

For woodcutting-Magic logs at level 75 or higher.

For fletching-Magic short bows, and magic long bows, in large quantities for high alchers.  Short bow- level 80, longbow- level 85

For thieving, I don’t recommend this, but getting it up really high and pickpocketing paladins.

For smithing, sell rune items, arrow heads, cannon balls, or any new item that is exploding in price, like claws were just this month, with crazy over-priced offers from people that didn’t know better, that in a few weeks it would drop by half.

For Runecrafting, the current top rune you can craft.

For mining, Iron, coal if you are about level 65-70, and when you get to 85 runite ore.

For herblore, I would go with the most selling/requested potion, or highest.

For fishing, lobsters are the most popular, they are good training, not too high level, and great for training.  Also, when fishing lobsters, you don’t get other fish, just lobster.  I recommend having 50 or higher before, or else it will take forever.  Raw currently sells for 100-200, but mostly below 150.  Cooked sell for 100-200 each, and there is a chance you will burn more then you cook, and the price you could of got for the raws becomes more.

I don’t recommend crafting all too much, in less you are making and enchanting battle staffs.

And, last but not least, the best money making skill in runescape.  A secret to many.  A treasure to few.  Firemaking.

Okay, not really, and using the range in Catherby if you are a member is much faster, as it is close to a bank and never turns to ash.  That’s about it with skills for money.  If there are any new skills such as the rumors say there will be, I will add them.

5 Best cash---  Okay, here’s the section you have waited for, the best cash.    There are a few main ways..  First off, high alching.  Get your magic to 55, buy an item, high alch it, buy another item and a nature rune, and repeat in till you have more money in till you know what to do with it.  This skill goes good with smithing, plate bodys are good, and fletching magic longs or shorts.

And the absolute best way,  buying low, selling high.  It doesn’t require any skill increasing, and can be very fast.  You buy a lot of things, keep in stock, if they become valuable, and sell.  Also, you can buy at bank sales, and leaving membership sales, and sell for regular or bigger price.  You can also buy things like ores, bars or things like that, to increases skills, and make it into items that sell for more then the ores/bars.

Find new items sell them overpriced and make a profit.  There comes times when new items come out, and everyone flocks to them like sheep.   Most people will pay outrageous prices for new items that are basically worthless or take no time to make.  With these, you have to be quick, follow the new quest, go to the new area, check the locations monsters and update forms, and get the information.

This one can be alright, but it also is risky and should not be done by people new to the game.

The previous two paragraphs are basicly what I do, not the exact items and I will not be listing which items, because people will do it and the prices will drop, as well as my profits.

Player Killing.  The only real way to do this is creating a new name, sepreate from your main character, train him specificly for player killing, and get money for the items.  There are Ranging pures, mage pures, defense pures, strength pures*most common, and many others and variations.  I will not go into details with this, as I do not know all the variations and all the training methods, but the idea is to keep your combat level low, and your ability to kill players high.

6.Random Money Making Methods

Be a quest guide.  Charge 200-100k depending on the quests hardness, and walk the person through the quest.  Often, the best way to do this, is charge half now, half upon quest completion.  Also, you can start a runescape touring business, sell your services showing people where something is, or showing someone where certain monsters are.  The best way to do this is looking it up on the web, or using the map. Also, showing people specific places, or good places to train on monsters.

Selling runes to people trying to teleport at banks-  Okay, this one is alright for a few extra coins here and there.  Always charge at least twice as much as the value of the rune.  They are desperate for the runes, and you want to make money?  Then do it.  Over time the 1k here for laws, and 50 for fires pay off.

This one can't be too trusted, but you can give out loans.  What happens, someone needs some money fast, they give you an item, you give them the money it's worth, minus some money, your intrest, then they buy it back from you for the amount you gave them.  If they don't buy it back, you can still sell it for slight profits.   Most times, with this, I would suggest not giving out loans inless it's about 50k above, and charge at least 10-5k.  This does however require you know the worth of the items.  If you aren't sure, follow the section, know it's worth.

Be a financial consultant.  It may not be the best job, but if you know the game well, know the prices of items well, you can be one easily while doing other things, also it will make time pass quicker.  So how you do this, can be to offer services on the message board.  You can charge a set price a day for merchants and such,  Also, you can do single financial transactions at banks, to make sure neither side is scammed.  It can be an alright job I imagine, as I’ve never tried this myself.

Glitches.  This shouldn't be done, and is against the rules, but some have found ways of money making through glitches.  They buy at a low price and sell high to in game stores, at crazy amounts, profits from 500-whatever.  In the switch from rs1 to rs2 there were many who did this, and there are still the occasional people that do this.  You have a good chance of getting banned, and all that hard work goes down the drain, as you destroy your computer, cry one last tear, and commit yourself to the  mental institution.

Treasure trails-  Okay, this one isn't all too good, as it takes a lot of time, you have to beat high level monsters to get anything worth it, and prices jump wildly about.  But if you need a break from regular money making or training, and want to still make some profit and/or train combat, then this may be for you

7 How do I buy or sell?---Now the problem of marketing.  How to buy or sell.  Know its worth-Okay, this is the section you should know already.  This is the best way not to loose money while making money.  Know what its worth.  .  If you do not know what an item is worth DON'T BUY OR SELL IT INTILL YOU KNOW THE WORTH.  How do you find out?  Well, look in the forums.  Even if not a member, you can still look them over, find the item either buying or selling, and look at the price.  Look at more then one if you are still not sure.  If you are a member, you can ask for the price in the board  it concerns with.  Most people do this with the subject "Price check on... "Then the item. I may be listing a price guide on this site, but as prices rise and drop constantly, it would be a full time thing to keep up with, and of course, we would get people emailing me complaining, “wahhh wahhh, that’s not the price you noob! :’(“  Which may be good for a laugh or two, but still, would get annoying after a while.   The best way of getting the price, is asking someone.  There are some people that do this for some money as listed above.  Now,  two of the worst things you can do, is  one, buy items with other itmes, that isn't buying, that's trading, and one of the main ways you will get the status noob.  If you don't have the money, then you can trade for it, but you can't trade items in place of money with everyone.  I personaly just want money for near everything I trade, and vise versa.  Inless I ask differently, I do not accept.  People that use runes, and noobish items in place of hard money are noobs, and people that accept are just as noobish, and basicly telling them their actions are alright.  Just say no.  Also, secondly, saying to make offers when selling something.  You should at least have an idea what’s its worth.  You can either ask the blue book price, or ask higher if you want to haggle with the price.  The only way for making offers, is going to the forms for bidding on expensive items, mainly anything under 50k isn’t worthy of the forms as a bid.   Also, if selling in banks, and if you want to use numbers “press 55 to buy rune ess for 30ea” or whatever the item or price, use a simple number, like 12 38 49, something that won’t take 5 minutes to type.  Single numbers a few time work well.  If there are other people using the number you are, switch it.  The best place to sell any item, is banks.  World one varrock can be alright, but may be too crowded to even see if someone is buying.  I would go with a milder world or bank.  A world with 1000 or under users is ideal.

9. Well, that’s about it.
