We live in the great state of Maine on 2 acres overlooking a lake with the mountains in the distance. Maine is a wonderful place to raise a family, whether it be human or canine. We adopted 4 children a while back and we homeschool them, they decided they wanted to breed and sell puppies for a "business", so after much research, many e-mails and phone calls to Sandy Laliberte of Sandy's K-9's Kennel in Arkansas, we got our first pair, Baxter and Chloe. Well, typical story, after the first litter, the kids lost interest and were on to other "businesses" but Mom and Dad were hooked. We fell head over heels in love with the breed. We adore Dachshunds and will always have them in our home. I cannot even imagine our lives without them. We do not have puppies all the time, because we do breed selectively and are very responsible breeders. Our dogs are all up to date on shots and get veterinary care when needed. We have a fenced in back yard where they run and play and get their excercise.
We strongly encourage you to spay or neuter your pets. All puppies are sold as pets unless otherwsie agreed prior to purchasing and those sold as pets will come with a spay / neuter contract. We treasure our dogs and value our new "families", We love to keep in touch and exchange pictures, phone calls and e-mails with our new puppy owners for years to come. We do require a signed contract with the sale of each puppy. We are always learning and may not be able to answer every question you may have but will try to get an answer for you from sonmeone else who can help.
