All our rabbits are vaccinated against Myxi and Vhd. 

When adopting a rabbit from us we do not set any minimum donation fee but would ask potential adopters to take into account of the cost we pay before a rabbit goes to its new forever home.

All rabbits are vaccinated against Myxi and if they have been in our care for more then two weeks they are also vaccinated for Vhd. This alone could cost  up to £30 - £40 at a private vet. 

We have to ask for a minimum donation of £15 per rabbit but please consider this barely covers the cost of the vaccnations

Frankie and Harry are brothers looking for a new home together. Their arrival to the centre was a little bit of a surprise as their mother was admitted as a stray and 6 days later gave birth to 7 babies. Mum was a very nervous rabbit and this has passed down to her offspring and they can be a little skittish and will need more handling. These boys are going to be big rabbits, they were born on 16/04/09 and they are already large rabbits and still growing. Frankie is white with grey points and Harry is tan and white, they are friendly boys and they live happily together. Both boys are vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd and they’re both neutered.

Buffy is a lovely rabbit looking for a special home. When she first arrived she was extremely scared and skittish and this made the staff very wary of her. Over the months her personality has changed and is now loved by everyone, she has a great character and loves to play with her cardboard box and flower pot, as well as pushing balls around her run. She loves to come up to the wire for a fuss and happy to hop around you feet whilst cleaning her cage or hop on to your lap if sitting in her run. Buffy’s downfall is she hates to be off the ground, she freaks if you go to pick her up and will kick out, scratch and scrabble to get away, for this reason she is overlooked and no one offers her a home. Her other problem is she is very nervous of very young children so would need to find a home with older kids. Buffy is a female, brown harlequin,medium sized lop and was born in june 2008. She is vaccinated against Myxi and HVD but is NOT neutered.

Minnie is a young harlequin, female, mixed lop rabbit. She came into us as she is very hard to handle and was also fighting with her sister. She doesn’t like to be handled and will scrabble, scratch and kick out when you try and pick her up, so she is looking for an experienced rabbit keeper who will give her the time and more handling that she needs. She was born in January 2009 and has been neutered and vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd.

Willow is a female, black and white, Dutch rabbit. She was found as a stray and taken to the vets. She is a nervous rabbit and needs more confidence with people, but isn’t aggressive, she just a little skittish. Willow needs an understanding home where she can get lots of TLC. Because she is a stray we do not know how old she is. She is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but has NOT been neutered.

Twitter is a young, black and white, mixed breed male rabbit. This little lad was taken away from his mum when he was 3 weeks old as his mum was heavily pregnant again. We had to supplement him with milk but he has grown in to a very healthy young boy who is now looking for a new home where he can get lots of love and cuddles. He is a friendly lad, but is young and will need more handling to make him comfortable being picked up. He is white and black and was born 25/07/09. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Smudge is a mixed breed, male rabbit. He came to us because his owner was unable to look after him, he is a lovely rabbit, friendly although a little nervous of new people. He was born in October 2007 and is white with tan and black patches. He has been vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Dec is a young, male looking for a new home. He came to us because his previous owners had too many animals to cope with. He is a very friendly boy, he likes to be handled but does need a lot of grooming because he is a ball of fluff. He is a lilac fawn, lion head and was born 23/06/09. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Blue Jeans is a female, mixed breed rabbit looking for a new home. She has come into us because her owner became unwell and was finding it hard to look after her. Her colouring is classed as Magpie (white and steel grey) we haven’t an age on her but believe her to be around the age of 2 years old, she is friendly but needs a little more handling. She has been vaccinated against Myxi and Hd but is NOT neutered.

Rocky is a male, agouti, mixed breed rabbit. He came into us because his owner couldn’t afford to keep him. He was born is September 2008, he is friendly but can be a little wriggly when being handled and is a little nervous of young children so we wont home him with very young children. With some more handling and some one on one attention he should make a great pet for someone. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Buster is a shy, nervous , sooty fawn, mixed lop, male rabbit. He came to us as his owner were moving and unable to take him with them. He has had hardly any handling, so gets very spooked when picked up and wriggles a lot, but with firm handling he soon calms down. We wouldn’t recommend him to go with young children. He was born in September 2008 so is still young and with lots of love and TLC he should calm down and become a loving pet. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd and was neutered on 10/11/09 he will be able to be matched with a female from 05/01/10.

Freddie is a young male rabbit looking for a loving forever home. He came from a house with several other rabbits, unfortunately his owner become ill and was unable to keep him. Freddie is a very docile, likes a fuss and a cuddle, he falls asleep quite easily as you may be able to tell by his picture. Freddie was born at the end of July 2009 he is white with grey points. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Don is a young, male, Lion Head looking for a new loving home. He came to us as his previous owner had too many animals to cope with. Dan is a black agouti, he is very friendly and likes cuddles. He was born on 7/04/09. He has been vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd and was neutered on 10/11/09 he will be able to be matched with a female from 05/01/10.

Fluffy and her daughters are looking for a new home. We would like them to go in pairs, so we want fluffy to stay with one of her babies. Fluffy is a white Lion Head x, she was born in June 2008. She has three daughters they were born on 26/07/09 one is white with pale grey points and is a Lion head x her name is flavia and then we have two mixed breeds, they are both agouti one is called Erin and the other has a little white dot on her head and she is called Lillia.  They have all been vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but have NOT been neutered.

Simba is a young male, black, lop x, rabbit. He came to us after his owner was involved in an accident and was unable to care for him. He is a lovely rabbit, friendly, fairly easy to handle although a little scared when picked up. He was born in December 2008, he is vaccinated against Myxi but is NOT neutered.

Thumper is a male, agouti, Lion Head x rabbit. He came to us as his owners were moving and were unable to have pets in the property they were moving to. Thumper is a friendly rabbit, fairly easy to handle and was born in October 2007. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Donald is a male, blue, mixed breed, medium sized rabbit. He was found as a stray and is a very loving affectionate boy and we are extremely shocked that no one has come forward to claim him. He looks like a hare x rex and is very inquisitive and friendly and will make a great pet. He is vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd but is NOT neutered.

Zazu is a male, white and black, English x Lop rabbit. He has a very cheeky personality, he is easy to handle once he gets to know you, he can be a little nervous around strangers. He came to us after his owner was involved in an accident and unable to look after him. All new owners enter into an animal adoption agreement with us in which we clearly set out how we expect our animals to be looked after with the final reassurance that if, for whatever reason, it does not work out and the animal can no longer be cared for we expect the animal to be returned to us at Rspca Medway West.

Rabbit Rehome website has lots of information on how to hold, look after and general welfare for rabbits. It also has its very own forum, for all you bunny loves to chat, ask for information or just show off pictures of your rabbit.
