Could You Give One of Our Guinea Pigs a Home???

When adopting a guinea pig  from us we do not set any minimum donation fee.  However a generous donation would be appreciated for the following reasons:-

Full Health Checks and Medical Treatment if Needed

Food & Bedding Costs

Guinea Pigs Need a Daily Supply of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables  

Our main costs with guinea pigs are usually from medical treatment for mites. Due to some of the animal being neglected, many guinea pigs come to us from the mild cases of a few mites to severe mites with skin problems. This can take up to 3+ weeks of veterinary treatment.

We do not have a set fee for our Guinea Pigs

Toffee is a young female guinea pig who came into our centre after she started to fight with her sibling. Toffee is a black and tan, crested guinea pig who was born on 17/01/09. She is a strong willed guinea pig and if matched with another she would probably be the more dominate one and probably would need to go with a bigger female. On her own she is a friendly, although a little shy.

Cresta and Caramel are two male guinea pigs looking for a new home together. We do not have a lot of information on these boys as they were abandoned, but we believe they are brothers and they live together happily and we want to home them together. Cresta is a little shy and was very nervous and frightened when he arrived and did nip, he stopped this once he had settled down and realised he was safe but for this reason wouldn’t home this pair to young children, Cresta is a crested, black eyed white guinea pig. Caramel is a very bold, friendly guinea pig, he loves attention and always the first to the front of the cage when he sees people, he is a tan and white, crested guinea pig.

All new owners enter into an animal adoption agreement with us in which we clearly set out how we expect our animals to be looked after with the final reassurance that if, for whatever reason, it does not work out and the animal can no longer be cared for we expect the animal to be returned to us at Rspca Medway West.
