Barbarian Assault
|
Note: If you die, you keep your items.
Welcome to BA, a team-work needed MG.
It is located NE of the Gnome Stronghold
There are no Requirements, but good combat is always good! Good Armour and Weapon are perfect!
To begin, talk to Captain Cain. Heed his words... Then go down the ladder and into the Recruitment Room. Here you can A) Be recruited by the team leader, you will be assigned a role. B) Go to the quicker room and assign your own role.
Playing; FYIs: Teams - There are 5 people per team. Horn - You will recieve this which can be used to contact your teammates. Wave: # -- This tells you the wave you are in, there are 10 total waves. The Ear symbol tells you what you have been told. The Mouth Symbol tells you what to say The Horn Symbol tells you who you are talking to. and vice versa.
The Team: Attacker - Job: Attacks the Penance Fighters, Items: Weapon, Bow, you are supplied Arrows, Runes in the deposit. Horn Call: Tells the Collector what Egg to get
Collector - Job: Gets the Eggs Horn Call: Talks to Attacker; listens to Attacker for what egg colour to get.
Healer - Job: Heals people (using Green Liquid), Gets Poisoned food to poison Penance Fighters Items: Vial (filled with green liquid) Horn Call: Talks to Defender
Defender - Job: Gets Food, builds barricades, and tells Healer what poison to use. Uses the food to bait the Penance runners into the traps. Items: Hammer and Logs for traps or barricades Horn Call: Talks to Healer for what food to get etc.
5th Man - Does any job that needs help with... Usually launches Egg Launcher
The Egg Launcher: When Collectors ge the eggs they can launch them (or give them to the other teammate and have him/her launch them.) Click the Launcher, select the Penance to attack, and colour of egg, then fire.
Eggs - Green -Poisons Red - Explode Blue - Stuns
Wave 10: During this wave you will need to defeat the Penance Queen.
After some time of killing the normal Penance Fighters, Rangers, Healers and Runners, the Queen will come. When its comes time for her, you must build the Omega Egg.
To create this Egg, have the Collector pick up the Yellow Egg the Queen lays. The Coll. Passes it to the Healer, who should use it on the green pools. Using the egg on the Attacker will pass it on, and the Att. should get some spikes from the mushrooms. Next the Defender uses the egg on the lava to heat it up. Now pass it back to the Collector.
Now you may launch it at the queen.
Honourary Rewards; During the waves you will recieve Honour Points, these are used for skill levels, equipment or gambling, from Connad in the hall.
To gain more equipment you must unlock more BA skill levels. Upgrading levels allows you more access to what your role can do.
There are 5 levels Attacker - +1 Damage on Penance (Level One) and it goes up to +5 Damage (Level 5)
Defender - Each level increases the closeness of the food.
Collector - Each level enables you to hold more eggs. 2(Level 1); 4 (Level 2), 6 (Level 3), 7 (Level 4) and 8 Eggs (Level 5)
Healer - The better the level, the more you can heal; From Level 1 you can heal 10 HP per potion, and at 5 HP increments, at level 5 you can heal up to 35 HP (Level 4 is 25 HP, Level 3 is 20 HP, and Level 2 is 15 HP)
You may also buy hats, Gloves, boots, skirts, and bodies from the shop.
You may also gamble your points. Gamblin can result in prizes of up to Dragon Items (D-Chain) or something of "lower" quality, such as a staff etc. You must have 200-400 points to Gamble for low items, or 500 Points (and defeated the Queen) to vie for the D-Chain!

The Barrows
|
The Barrows lie East of Mort'ton. There are a total of six dead brothers that you must kill.
To get there: 1) You must have done Priest in Peril Quest. (With Nature Spirit Altar) 2A) Go through the Mort Myre Swamp then through Mort'ton to the Barrows. **Watch out for ghasts that will rot your food** (Without Altar) 2B) Take a shortcut (must have done In Search of the Myreque). Head South and take the boat ride to the Barrows.
::The Brothers and Defeating Them::
Verac the Defiled Level 115
Verace is like many of the other brothers and melees. He is more weak in Magic than Range or Melee. His flail hits hard and can break through your prayer!
Verac is located in the Top Left.
Tips on defeating Verac: Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since he is a melee you should probably mage him.
You can use "Normal" Magic, with the spells such as the Elemental Bolts and Waves. However, it is more advised to use other magic weapons. However, if you have done Desert Treasure you should use Ancients. The ice spells are recommended!
Dharok the Wretched Level 115
Dharok's great axe is one powerful weapon! And as he loses health, he gains more 'adrenaline' and can hit you harder (like in the 50's). Like most meleers, Magic is his weakness.
He is located on the NE side.
Tips on defeating Dharok Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since he uses his STRONG axe, use magic. (and use prayer!!)
You can use "Normal" Magic, with the spells such as the Elemental Bolts and Waves. However, it is more advised to use other magic weapons. However, if you have done Desert Treasure you should use Ancients. The ice spells are recommended!
Guthan the Infested Level 115
Guthan is also like Dharok and Verac as he uses melee. His spear is a very powerful, health absorbing weapon - so watch his health, as yours goes down. Prayer for Melee is advised!
He is located in the SE
Tips on Defeating Guthan; Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since Guthan is of Melee; using Magic is good! He will use your health to help his.
You can use "Normal" Magic, with the spells such as the Elemental Bolts and Waves. However, it is more advised to use other magic weapons. However, if you have done Desert Treasure you should use Ancients. The ice spells are recommended!
Karil the Tainted Level 98
Karil is the only ranger, yet his crossbow is strong! He can be easily defeated with melee.
He is located in the South.
Tips on Defeating Karil; Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since Karil is a Ranger, you should use Melee.
Melee-ers should bring a good, fast weapon (like the Abyssal Whip) or a dragon weapon, like the scimitar. Note also, that having armour of good DEFENCE should help you! Armour of this type would be runite armour. Drink plenty of prayer pots!
Torag the Corrupted Level 115
Torag is a melee based brother who uses his two larg hammers to hit you hard! Again, having melee as a primary, magic is powerful against Torag.
He is located in the SW
Tips on defeating him; Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since he uses hammers, thus Melee, using magic would be best...
You can use "Normal" Magic, with the spells such as the Elemental Bolts and Waves. However, it is more advised to use other magic weapons. However, if you have done Desert Treasure you should use Ancients. The ice spells are recommended!
Ahrim the Blighted Level 98
Ahrim is a brother of the Barrows that uses Magic. His magic is very harmful to those who use Strength, and Prayer. Though some of his spells are low level (e.g. Curse, Weaken) he can hit hard!
Ahrim is located in the Center.
Tips on defeating him: Items to bring Spade (must always bring!) Ring of Duelling (or another way out) Prayer Pots Stat Restore Pots FOOD (sharks)
Since he is a mage, range is good.
Bring a quick range bow (crystal) and always select Rapid whatever bow you bring! Also use runite arrows, if you do not use the Crystal bow.
Crypts
OK, now that the barrow brothers are dead, time to get the sweet rewards of your troubles!
Now, during your fights you may have stumbled upon these underground tunnels, return to this area once all the Barrow Brothers are dead. Also, once down here watch out as Brothers may come and attack you.
| |
Skeletons |
|
| Crypt Rats |
Chest |
Crypt Spiders |
| |
Blood Worms |
|
Beware of the monsters shown above! To get your rewards you must make it to the chest by going through the doors located in the "monster's" rooms.
Once at the door to enter the chest room you'll get a puzzle:
Answer: Square is next. Answer: Choose the square with the grey on the top. Answer: Choose the one with the ball on the left and triangle on right. Answer: Block with the top-left off. Rewards;
Besides the Mind, Death, Blood or Chaos runes you may get, you may also get rare Dragon Items, or half-keys from the chest.
You can also get some Barrow Armour or Weapon (the same ones used to kill you!)

Blast Furnace, The
|
Requirements: You need 60 Smithing - if you don't have it you must pay 2.5k for 10 minutes use of the Furnace.
Quests: Started The Giant Dwarf
Location: East Keldagrim - go to the Furnace Symbol
Items: Ores to smelt the bars you want, money if you don't have the required Smithing, spade, hammer, bucket (all spawn here), Note: you can note all the ores you want then sell them to the ore shop then buy them back (it's quicker this way..but other players may buy your ores)
To begin: Talk to the Foreman to get permission to use his Furnace.
Note: You only need to bring 1/2 the usual coal when smelting like steel bars etc.
This is a map of the Blast Furnace. Keyz: White: Conveyor Belt Yellow: Pedlas Cyan: Coke/Stove Green: Pumps Purple:Gauge Brown (on the bottom): Sink Orange: Bar Collector
Red Dots: Bottom - Bucket --- Middle - Spade --- Top - Hammer
This is a TEAM effort - but you may do it on your own (it will take longer though).
The Stove:
Take a spade from the ground and use it with the stove to refuel the stove. Keep Examining the Stove to see if it's full, fairly full, or barely full. You must get it to Fully Full To Operate this, the player will need a Firemaking Level of 30.
The Pipes:

The Next Step is the pumps: A player will need level 30 Strength to Operate the pumps. While one is doing that, their team will need to read the gauge (left). The White means the stove is cold, the Green: just right, the Red: Too warm (the stove may blow at this point)

The Pedals and Conveyor belt:

Now someone with 30 Agility must operate the Pedals to run the Conveyor Belt.
Once the ores are on the Conveyor Belt the pedaller pedals and the ores go into the Furnace. Since the Furnace is nice and hot from the fueler, the ores melt into liquid, they travel through the pipes blown by the operater then form into bars for cooling in the bar dispenser.
Sometimes parts may break, such as the Pipes. A person with level 30 Crafting can easily fix any broken parts with a hammer.
Retrieving Bars:

You must cool the bars first with a bucket of water to retriever them.

Objective: Your objective is to touch the ticket Dispensers when the block on your topright is green. If it is red that means you must tag a Ticket Dispenser before you are allowed to recieve your tickets. Ticket Dispensers give out 1 ticker per tag. You get only 1 tag when the Yellow Arrow is above that Dispenser. The Yellow Arrow will stay above that Dispenser for 1 minute before moving on to a different one. If you miss a Ticket Dispenser then you must click the next one then the one after that one to recieve your ticket.
Tips: - Bring light weight stuff.. In fact, don't wear anything; perhaps just the boots of lightness. -Cakes have around 4 bites each. So these are good. - KEEP your hitpoints LOW. Yes, this sounds crazy, but believe me, the lower they are the better it is for you! - Try to AVOID the Darts, if you have a low Agility Level. That is, because, if you fail them your agility level gets hit back 2 levels. So you may end up with 38/40 agility and must wait till your agility goes back to 40 to go through the traps. By then the arrow may move on and you miss a ticket. - Keep your tickets!
Reward: Once you had your fun, which can range from a few minutes to several weeks in the Arena! go back to the hut you went down from and trade with Jackie. (You can save your tickets if desired.)

Burthrope Games Room
|
Note: You cannot die here, unless you are poisoned...
Burthrope is located North of Taverly; alternatively, you can teleport there using the Games Necklace.
There are 4 Games: Runeversi, Runesquares, RuneLink, Draughts
Ratings: You gain ratings from the games, You start with 1000 rating, winning games increases the rating, losing, drops the rating.
RuneVersi: Runeversi is just Reversi in RS. All you need to do is have the most runes on the board at the end of the game.
You place your rune selection on the square of choice. You can capture your opponent's piece by putting 2 of your runes on both sides of it. It is possible to tie this game, as you and your opp. may have the same amount of runes on the board.
Runesquares: To play this you must create 'boxes' all around the board. You connect one point to the other. Once a box is complete then the rune of the player who completes the box will be placed in the box. So watch out, as you may aid your opp. by giving him/her the edge of completing a box.
Whoever has the most runes on the board wins.
RuneLink To play this game you must connect four of your runes in a horizontal, or vertical or diagonal row. To win, just do as said above...
Draughts: Draughts is 'Checkers' RS style. You must capture all of your opponent's pieces to win. To quickly do this, try to get to the other side of the board, without getting captured. If you go to the other side you are promoted to 'King', and Kings can move in both directions; whereas a normal piece can only move in one.
If you can capture, you must capture.
Reward... There isn't really a reward, just a rating to prove to others how well you are at the games! *Each game gives a seperate rating..
