Name: Rory
Age: 15
Bike: mod 20"
Acheivments: Sponcership with FairlightCycles
Rory Orchard from south-west Devon has ben riding 'Bike Trials' for about 7-8 months properly, and has been riding under the support of FairLight cycles. Rory prefers to ride 'street' trials, mainly as it looks smooth and he likes clean edges.
Rory got into Trials from watching a professional in a childrens play park. After buying his 1st bike Rory realized trials isn't as easy as it looks, but after spending up to 5hrs a night for a long time Rory brought himself to a good standard and will soon be competing in the 2006 'DJ' Trials series (R.I.P dj).
In the very near future Rory will be updating his frame to a Zona Zip and will be adding Onza disk forks for his new Hope Mono Trials disk.
Rory has ridden in many different places and has many favorite spots in his local area, and has pretty much mastered all of the spots (locally). As Rory is always telling himself there is always room for improvement, it is very likely that he will still be riding the same spots for the 'foreseeable' future.

Rorys Feelings Of Riding And Advice:
....Riding to me is a way of exspresing my feelings and showing my mood. If i could give advice some tips i would use are....
*When you start a trick, don't stop half way (This is when accidents happen)
*Never let someone push you into something your not comfortable with, If you're not comfortable your NOT ready.
*Use an object over and over again even a curb can supply hours of different maneuvers. People can make the mistake of getting bored to quickly.
I like to ride to calm down, after an argument with parents/girlfriends its nice to be able to go out and ride. Doing something you enjoy can calm your nerves and make you feel happier. One thing i MUST say is that if you are angry and tense you MUST NOT attempt big drops or technical/fast tricks as you will need all you're concentration for this. Instead try just some small backwheels and slow riding.

Mastering The Art Of Trials....
TAKE IT SLOW! It is not a competition to see who can get good the quickest. Trials is an 'un-teachable' Skill and comes through experience and dedication. In learning a tip i would give is to be original, don't try and copy the styles of a professional rider as a style is aquired naturally.
