The Five Continents Bed and Breakfast is located in New Orleans, La., six blocks from the French Quarter, accessible via a walk down the city's historic Esplanade Avenue. The property is approximately one mile from Bourbon Street, Pirate's Alley, the St. Louis Cathedral and the Faubourg Marigny District.
Features. This two-story, Greek Revival mansion, accompanied by its original carriage house, was built in the late 1880s and remodeled in 2006. Complimentary two-course breakfasts, including smoked salmon scrambles, buckwheat and pecan waffles, Louisiana Shrimp Benedict and baked-pear French toast, are served in the mansion's formal dining room. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided throughout the bed and breakfast. The property boasts architectural features including 14-foot cove ceilings with a Fleur-de-lis design, ceiling medallions and original gasolier crystal chandeliers in the mansion's two parlors. Hardwood floors, Oriental rugs, and eight fireplaces, all with the original mantles and ceramic tile hearths, are showcased throughout the house. A hot tub is located in the property's garden.
Guestrooms. The Five Continents Bed and Breakfast houses four two-room suites in the main house and a separate cottage located in the garden. All accommodations feature private bathrooms with complimentary aromatherapy bath products and Turkish cotton spa towels. Beds are dressed with 300-thread count sheets. The bathrooms in the main house showcase antique cast-iron, claw-foot tubs with showers, and the cottage bathroom includes a two-person multi-head, walk-in/roll-in shower. Decor in the units reflects that of the five continents.

Ala Kai Bed and Breakfast

The Ala Kai B&B is located off the coast of the Pacific Ocean on the Kaloli Point of the Puna Peninsula in Kea'au, Hawaii. The adjacent beach is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling and strolling. The 'Ohi'a-Lehua Rainforest is less than five miles from the bed and breakfast. Kea'au Beach and the Panaewa Zoo and Equestrian Center are approximately 14 miles away.
This bed and breakfast, boasting a name that means "road by the sea" it features expansive views of the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean each morning. Full, complimentary breakfasts are provided, and may include island fruits, Kona coffee, tea and juice. A full kitchen is available for guests' use.
