 I''ve been designing and making jewelry and metal objects since I was in high school.

I started my studies in jewelry/metal's in 1976 at Penland school of crafts in Penland North Carolina

That same year I attended the metals program at Wayne state University in Detroit,Michigan.

I studied with  three major metal artists that year and networked with many more artists at both schools.

I was born and raised in Detroit so I think it is in my nature to build things out of metal, just like my father, who was a metal model maker at General Motors.

A lot of what I know about metal and a few of his tools were passed on to me from him.

I work with a variety of metals but the metals I use most are copper,brass,pewter and steel.

The name of the shop "MetalicImages" refers to the images I see in the metal at the beginibg of the creative process.

My industrial Detroit influences can be sen in my  work,but with a contemporary flair!
