It was basically a bunch of local companies giving lectures and recruiting people. Pretty interesting stuff actually. I heard a lecture of a local company that developed an educational game ("serious" game), and then a guy from Microsoft talking about the different stages of game development. He said that after every project, the crew is burnt so bad that they're unemployable for 3-6 months! Crazy Then I went to see "HellBoy" with Dave. What a horrible movie! One thing was funny though - they showed the earth after the apocalypse, and there was this burnt news paper saying "The apocalypse!". It was funny to imagine the newspaper staff wake up in the morning, looking out the window to see the world in ruins, eating breakfast, brushing teeth, and going to the office to write "The Apocalypse!". Then, the delivery boys had to go over the list of subscribers to make sure who's dead and who's still breathing. You get the point. The movie was HORRIBLE. Never go to see it. -30/04/04- Hi! This is Roy's NEW online monolog. I decided to give it another try for the summer, and I found a way to make sure I'll stick to it. Forgive me for poor writing. I'm not trying to win an essay contest, just convey some of my thoughts quickly. The finals are coming soon, and I'm thinking about studying all day long. I hope I'll get to it when it comes. I constantly find distractions in either writing music or watching a movie. Today I slept at Talia's place and after we woke up we went to Intelligentsia (a coffeeshop) to study. I also listened to my unfinished piece of music and drew. Talia asked my help in Chemistry but then got annoyed when I tried to explain to her. She claims it's due to the fact that Chemistry sucks but I know she does that all the time in everything. Then I went home and bought some food and did all my dishes (except for those that are on the floor...) and watched SAMURAI X. It's a cute movie. Not too good though, but it's too be expected because Kenshin is a cute, not too good series, too. Now i"m going to study for Women men and social change. Boring, trust me. I feel like I'm retaking Women's perspectives and values. Music of the moment: "Onward" by Jugi (instrumental) See ya! |
