A Word of welcome
  Hello and welcome to The Truth. I believe you and I are living in the time when our Lord Jesus Christ will return. It is my prayer that this site will help many become prepared for that great event.
Folks let me tell you, it makes know diffrence who you are, where you been, or where you are now in life. God loves you, and will except you as you are. I declare unto you that God loves homosexuals, drunks, those who have had abortions, those who have commited adultry, murdered,lied, and all other sins that can be named. Jesus Christ was nailed to a Roman cross and shed His blood that wicked sinners such as us, can be saved and have fellowship with God. My prayer is that God will use the contents of this website to lead many to salvation through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ.
It takes more faith to be an unbeliever than it does to be a christian. For example, if i'm wrong in trusting Christ and His atonement, then what have I lost? The only thing I see as being lost is a life of no hope, wondering in the mire of this worlds wickedness and misery. Not much of a loss I would say! On the other hand, if the person who refuses to believe in Christ is wrong, then he or she has lost everything including their soul to an eternity in the fire of hell. Oh yes, being an unbeliever takes a lot of faith, a whole more than i've got. THINK ABOUT IT!!

Whoa! What in the world is happening with our kids today?
Let's see...I think it started when Madelyn Murray O'Hair complained that she didn't want any prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you had better not read the Bible in school- the Bible that says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said, OK.
Remember Dr. Benjamin Spock, who said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem? And we said, OK, we won't spank them.
Then someone said that teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And our administrators said whoa, no one in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued.
Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and we won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, that's a grand idea.
Then someone else said, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the "fun" they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents. And we said, that's another great idea.
And then some of our top officials said that it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. And we said, as long as I have a job and the economy is good, it doesn't matter to me what anyone does in private.
So now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.
I think it has a great deal to do with "we reap what we sow".

1. The Church is where we fellowship and worship God corporately.
2. To listen to God's Word.
3. To get my Spiritual Batteries re-charged.
4. To bring Spiritual stability to my life.
5. It is an expression of our love for God
6. It builds up Spiritual Strength
7. It is an act of Obedience to God.
8. It's where I am taught how to "Forgive"
9.The opportunity to worship God with my Tithes and Offerings.
10. To honor The Lord's Day
11. It provides accountability to spiritual leadership.
12. It helps keep families together.
People Who Do Not Attend Church

There are growing numbers of people who do not attend church or who attend only occasionally. Is that safe for those people? Is it safe for society?
Frequently you hear folk justify not going to church because there are hypocrites there or because church is no longer relevant to modern life or the music is poor or the preacher is boring. No doubt you have heard other excuses. The objective of this column is not to disprove the accuracy of these explanations. No doubt all of them apply to most churches sometimes and perhaps to some churches all the time. The contention is not that all churches are good and worth attending. That would not be true.
However, there are churches that are good and worth attending, every Sunday. What are the leading characteristics of such churches?
- They aspire to worship God according to who God really is and in keeping with the way He wants to be worshipped. The emphasis is on God and not on man in every part of the service. And this purpose to worship is carried on seriously and not carelessly.
- They make a studied effort to explain and apply the Word of God accurately.
- They invite all people who are present to believe on Jesus Christ and state clearly that Christ is the only way whereby human beings can be right with God.
- They insist on the moral absolutes established by God in His law. They are truthful about sin as the violation of God’s law.
- They speak clearly and frankly about death, judgment, and the world to come.
- The members of the church are serious about pleasing Christ and not about simply keeping up the appearance of being a good person. Sinless people they are not. Pursing holiness, they are!
Attending churches with these qualities brings benefits that cannot be obtained elsewhere. For one thing there is the confrontation with God and with the individual’s personal accountability to God. No one can think or behave well without a firm recognition that God is his judge and that God sees him constantly. Then there is the benefit of hearing repeatedly the difference between right and wrong. Society tries hard to blur the lines of righteousness and sin. The Word of God keeps the conscience sharp and alert. Next, there is great profit in having the realities of eternity brought before the heart often. Materialism is a deadening philosophy. People need to remember that they are much more than material beings. They have souls and will never be complete or happy until their souls are at peace with God. Finally, people are by nature without hope. The only hope that most have is either self-induced or is based upon utter falsehood. The biblical gospel offers the only hope for the life that now is and the life that is coming. No one is without a deep personal need of the hope that is in Christ!
Sound churches keep the truly important issues of life before our minds and hearts. Apart from church all of us tend to drift into the unreal world of our imaginations and wishes. This is dangerous for us and for the people around us. Who makes the better teacher or policeman or doctor, the individual who thinks himself answerable to no one but himself or the person who knows that he must give account to God? Who is more likely to persevere in the difficult times without compromising or cheating, the person who supposes that everything depends upon him or the person who knows that through faith in Christ he has access to the very power of God for his help?
The fact is that every one needs to go to church. The fact is, also, that society needs for every one to go to church.

MUST OF BEEN THE GUNS!
For the life of me, I can't understand what could have gone wrong in Littleton, Colo. If only the parents had kept their children away from the guns, we wouldn't have had such a tragedy. Yeah, it must have been the guns.
It couldn't have been because of half our children being raised in broken homes.
It couldn't have been because our children get to spend an average of 30 seconds in meaningful conversation with their parents each day. After all, we give our children quality time.
It couldn't have been because we treat our children as pets and our pets as children.
It couldn't have been because we place our children in day care centers where they learn their socialization skills among their peers under the law of the jungle while employees who have no vested interest in the children look on and make sure than no blood is spilled.
It couldn't have been because we allow our children to watch, on average, seven hours of television a day filled with the glorification of sex and violence that isn't fit for adult consumption.
It couldn't have been because we allow our children to enter into virtual worlds in which, to win the game, one must kill as many opponents as possible in the most sadistic way possible.
It couldn't have been because we have sterilized and contracepted our families down to sizes so small that the children we do have are so spoiled with material things that they come to equate the receiving of the material with love.
It couldn't have been because our children, who historically have been seen as a blessing from God, are now being viewed as either a mistake created when contraception fails or inconveniences that parents try to raise in their spare time.
It couldn't have been because our nation is the world leader in developing a "culture of death" in which 20 million to 30 million babies have been killed by abortion.
It couldn't have been because we give two-year prison sentences to teen-agers who kill their newborns.
It couldn't have been because our school systems teach the children that they are nothing but glorified apes who have evolutionized out of some primordial soup of mud by teaching evolution as fact and by handing out condoms as if they were candy.
It couldn't have been because we teach our children that there are no laws of morality that transcend us, that everything is relative and that actions don't have consequences. What the heck, the president gets away with it.
Nah, it must have been the guns!
