Interview with Georg Dolivo from Rhino Bucket
March 4th, 2007
1. Let's start off with the current line-up. What went wrong with Jackie Enx and how is it playing with Dusty?
Nothing went "wrong" with Jackie. She is a great drummer. We just came to a point where we didn't agree on pretty much anything when it came
to the band and it was starting to make the whole thing a drag. When Dusty joined the band, there was a renewed feeling of joy and fun in the band
and I think you can hear it us when you see us live these days. Hopefully we'll be able to capture that on the new CD when we hit the studio this fall.
2. "No Song Left Behind" Who's idea was it to do this and are there any more songs
left behind or does that pretty much cover everything that was recorded?
It was something we had all talked about at various times over the last few years and, to be honest, I was quite surprised as to how much great stuff we were able to find.
I'm sure somewhere in the Greg's vaults there is more but these days I'm more excited about writing and playing new songs.
3. What inspires your writing?
Life and the lack of cable TV. LOL
4. What do you think sets Rhino Bucket apart from all the other groups out there right now? Give someone a reason to buy your album...
We are, by far, the most honest band on the face of the earth. We just are who we are, you can take us or leave us but we'll never bend to
trends or outside pressure. So, if you want to hear a band that is playing exactly what they feel in their heart, listen to Rhino Bucket.
5. When can we expect a full length Rhino Bucket (live) DVD?
I've been working on that for a long time. Hopefully something will be ready by the spring of 2008.
6. If you had the chance to play with anyone, living or dead, who would you have liked to jam with?
I would have loved to have a sit down, acoustic guitar, writing session with John Lennon.
7. What are your favourite songs to play live? What gets the best response?
I like "She's a Screamer". Always have, always will.
8. What did you write the song "Welcome To Hell" about?
A bad relationship. I seem to have a great ability to find my self in them.
9. What kind of movies do you prefer?
Good ones. LOL I really liked "The Departed" but I also really liked "Little Miss Sunshine".
10. Do you have any favorite actors or actresses?
I like Ed Norton and the movies he makes.
11. Do you think hard rock is starting to make a comeback?
Nope, but I also think it never really went that far away. It just wasn't on MTV every 15 dsecinds anymore but that only made the music better.
12. Do you have any concrete grand plans for the future?
I'm going to apply for that "RULER OF THE WORLD" job next Tuesday.
13. What is your opinion of "Best Of" CD's?
I don't like them. I like to hear all of the songs a band writes, it gives me a better feel for them.
14. If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
I like it right here, thank you very much!
15. My last question is what do you have to say to the fans?
Thank you for saving my life. I'm serious. Without this band and all time it takes from me, I would have self-destructed a very long time ago.
I've been so busy these last few months but the calm is returning to my life and I'll be back on that Message Board as soon as it can take Firefox.
