Just Christians

We are simply Christians, people who believe that Jesus is the Christ and have obeyed his commands (Mark 16:16). We recognize that we are not perfect, but are continually striving to be more like Jesus (I Peter 2:21). All of our members, including the minister are “just Christians.” We find no Biblical authority to treat our minister or any member as someone more honored than another Christian. For this reason, we do not give special titles or honor to our minister like “pastor”, “reverend”, or “priest.”

Our vision is to restore New Testament Christianity (see Galatians 1: 8-9)

Perhaps a church strictly patterned after God’s word instead of man’s ideas and opinions interest you.

What to Expect In Worship

Our worship is simple and devout. There will be no displays of emotional outburst. Our goal is to be governed in everything by the Bible alone. For this reason our worship consist only of those acts which the New Testament reveals were performed by the early church. We sing, pray, give our means, eat the Lord’s supper and have the word of God preached for our instruction and edification.

The Singing

The New Testament commands Christians to sing in their worship (Ephesian 5:19). For this reason we encourage all to sing. Congregational singing is hindered by instrumental music and special choirs. These things cause most people to listen rather than sing. We find no authority for use of instruments in the NT worship. The songs you will sing will not be strange to you if you are accustomed to the great spiritual hymns and songs.
