A little boy is abandoned on an Australian doorstep.
Zoe bellowed out to us. "Daddy, there's a boy sitting out here on our doorstep. Quickly!
Who is he? Where are his parents? What are his secrets? He bears a past that no one knows about, much less himself. What is God's plan for this little boy and how does the will of the Lord manifest itself through such a reserved young lad...if but to reach out as far as He can reach to a hurting world that needs God.
It's all your fault!" Zoe yelled at her brother. "You killed Maxwell! If it hadn't been for you, he'd be alive now. I hate you! I hate you! Maxwell is dead, and I hate you!!!"
Even the neighbours are awestruck. "Strike!" the old man exclaimed. "Joel, y'wouldn't 'ave a barney knowin' what this kid just said to me."
As the little boy turns to the age of thirteen, challenges await him. Classmates ridicule him. He is bullied, yet he does not retaliate. Why?
"Mum, Dale's been in a fight," Zoe spoke out.
"I haven"t, Zoe."
Then, oneday a pretty young girl arrives in the neighbourhood..
"How old are you?"
"Thirteen," he replied.
"That's the same age as me,"
..but, then his family receives horrible news of a school incident that takes them back a mile or two.
"Hello, she said as she picked up the receiver. "Yes, this is Simone Willis. What?...oh no! .oh my! No ..no...!!" Her hands started to shake. "Yes, I'm fine...Thank you, Mr. Winsome. Thank you very much for telling me.
What happened?
At the age of fifteen he goes missing. Where is he? Who is involved?
"What's wrong, Sim? I asked.
"It's Dale. He hasn't come home from school. He usually phones if he is
going to be late. But I have this horrible feeling. He's never been this late."
It was hard after the first day had passed. Simone and I were having trouble eating and sleeping. It was a nightmare of unbearable, tormenting stress on the rest of us. We feared for his life, but we needed to pray that God would watch over him and that we would find some clues as to his whereabouts.
After they do find him, he becomes more determined to reach out to others, no matter what happens.
Dale turned to me seriously and with a determined tone in his voice.
"I want to see him, Dad. Please? I need to see him."
But at eighteen, tragedy strikes at the very heart of his bitter earlier childhood, yet gradually God moves him towards a direction of heavenly purpose as he grows older with new responsibilites and new experiences.
....
In Dale. Image of Innocence, another mysterious boy opens up new information, new questions into Dale's earlier past.
Dale
crouched down in front of him.
"I
can see youre hurting, Dale said to him. "I know how you
feel. But something I tell my son is to share his problems with me
so I can help him, and when he does, he feels a lot better."
The
boy lifted his head up to Dale with tears streaming down his face. "Whats his name, please?"
"Jordan."
"How
old is he?"
"Nearly
six," Dale replied. "Whats your name?"
"Lindsay."
"How
old are you?"
"Ten."
"Do
you go to school here?" asked Dale.
"I
don't go to school."
In Dale. AIDS Child, a single mother dying of AIDS discovers her 'heavenly prince' in a relationship that is blessed by God.
Margot slowly raised her arm to his face and touched his cheek with her
weak fingers. "I'll miss you, Dale. I'll miss Mary, but you were my...knight.
You led me to God, helping me fight off all the bad men, didnt you?"
Dale finds himself in the centre of controversy and gossip, but his faith in God is strengthened as he sheds the love of God to those around him.
"So, you admit that you are having an intimate relationship with another
woman while you bear the mask of a happy family man with three kids.
I know all about your son's adoption, too, and the trouble he caused the town last year.
"So does the Dept of Human Services," Dale quickly added. "So, what is your definition of the word, intimate?
In Dale. Forbearing Secrets, a new development into his history turns to a further bitter battle in his spirit, but God is working through the events for the purpose of revealing that God always works for the good of those who love Him.
He could remember the gentle words spoken from within his subconscious.
Words not from his mother, but from Erica. Words that brought him to a beatitude that held his heart together. "No matter what is spoken to you by anyone, never let go of the belief that God will always tell you the truth,
that you can always rely on Him for everything you need, as long as you
never let go of His love for you."
"What are you trying to teach me, Father?" he prayed. "What are you
trying to help me to learn?
....But it takes it's toll on those around him.
"Dad, I don't like to see you upset."
"I'm not upset. I'm just very tired of having to work out why everything to
do with my past, has been a real nightmare for me. It is because I have let
it get that way,...not only for me, but for my family."
Dale is an inspirational story about families, for families. It will touch your heart and move you to discover more about yourself and spiritual purposes that God has for you, to bear and express the fruit of the Spirit in your life to others around you, not matter how they treat you.
