Couple of the Year
TV Weekeinde

Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) and Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) have an on/off relationship on "The Bold and the Beautiful". We can’t underestimate Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) but it seams that they´ve settled permanently for each other. "TV Weekeinde" tried to figure out in Monte Carlo if the couple is also right for each other in real life. The couple of the year spends a few days in luxury and wealth (what they are used to on TV). During the Monte Carlo festival, the couple showed up to promote the famous American soap.

RM: Ronn Moss
HT: Hunter Tylo

Finally Ridge and Taylor are together. It’s about time!
HT: I think the viewers liked that. But it kept going on these ups and downs for us. For me it’s a little bit too much. In the period where I had to be sad because Ridge could not choose between Brooke and Taylor, I also had personal problems. IMy little girl had eye cancer and her future was very insecure. I begged the producers for a happier storyline so that I could play some funny scenes. Thankfully, they did that for me. My opinion is that the relationship between them stays strong, but it is and stays a soap, so I think you will see a lot of drama.

What do you like most about Hunter/Ronn?
HT: He’s gallant, nice and the only man that I can play a love scene with. I´ve played this part now for 11 years and still he asks me if he can put his hands on my buttocks. I think that’s sweet.
RM: Her sense of humor.

Would you like to be married to such kind of man/woman like Ridge/Taylor?
HT: No! I would dump him immediately. The way he handles women, you don’t do that. A woman who respects herself a little bit would not have a relationship with him. But Taylor really loves that man so she accepts everything.
RM: I don’t think Ridge is a wonderful man. He’s a weakling. I can’t imagine that someone wants to be married to him. Hunter? We experience a lot on the set. Sometimes it feels like we are married so that says something.

When a man/woman walks in the door. What do you look at first?
HT: I like men with dark eyes and hair. Real "Al Pacino" men. Not that I want to be married to them. Appearance is not enough for a marriage. I spend my life with a blond man with blue eyes who’s 15 years older than me. I really need some kind of father figure.
RM: Her eyes!

What’s a real turn-off for you?
HT: Men who looks down on women. And I hate arrogance!
RM: A woman who smokes and women who think that they are better than everyone else.

You are both happily married! How important is it to have a man/woman in your life?
HT: That’s everything for me. I would not like my job if there is not someone to share it with. It’s wonderful to see your kids grow up together. I can’t think about spending my life single.
RM: Very important. But the biggest challenge is to have children together.

What do you appreciate the most in your partner?
HT: His sense of humor.
RM: The way she looks at life. She has a lot of positive energy.

What do you dislike most in your partner?
HT: My man can be rude and that’s annoying. Then I make excuses for his behavior. Certainly when he begins to talk about politics. That’s a very sensitive subject for me. He always speaks what he thinks. Sometimes I’m ashamed for his behavior!
RM: I would almost say that there is nothing. But there has to be something. We are both stubborn, so that can create some conflicts. We both can’t stop so that’s difficult, but it gives a lot of energy.

Children are a crown on your marriage. True or false?
HT: Agreed: I really want to say that couples who don’t have kids think that a family is an idyllic fairytale. That’s nonsense because it’s hard work.
RM: Having kids is a privilege, not a reward. A payment from God. No, I don’t believe in God as a creature but I do believe in God´s energy. Having a baby does not mean you have a great marriage. When you can take care of kids, respect their opinion and accept their ‘I’ then you can say that you are worthy of it.

Now B&B. What’s up next?
HT: The storyline between Ridge and Taylor will have a lot more ups and downs. Besides Brooke, there will be another woman. Someone from the past will cause problems in their relationship.
