What's it like to be bitten by "The Bold & the Beautiful" bug ?
The person who runs the Australian website for "The Bold & The Beautiful" is surprisingly normal. Our resident fan Mr Cameron was keen to talk to another "normal" person who's addicted to "The Bold".
"Joanne" disagreed with Eoin's suggestion that the long-suffering Brooke was a trollop . She did agree tho' that it was a tad unbelievable when Ridge Forrester emerged with just a scratch after falling into a blast furnace. "Isn't that hilarious" was her response.
She went on to relect on some of the series idiosyncracies - the way characters continue, but played by different actors ; the return of actors as long lost twin sisters ; and the impending return of a character as a ghost.
Joanne was also full of information about the personal & previous professional lives of some of the stars. Apparently Catherine who plays the character of Brooke remains with the show because it allows her to spend more time with her family.
When Eoin suggested that he'd not seen "The Bold" cast in much else , Joanne set him straight. Darlene Connolly who plays Sally was in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" , Jack Wagner was in Melrose Place, and Susan Flannery who plays Stephanie was in "The Towering Inferno" playing Paul Newman's mum.
Joanne had watched "The Days of Our Lives" & "The Young & The Restless" as a teenager, but it was "The Bold" that she stuck with ...Eoin began with an obvious question ( how long have you been a Bold fan ? )
