Esther has been my Captain in my volunteer shift of the 'Legion of Honor' and the 'de Yung' museums since I started helping about three years ago.

Sylvia McLaughlin is one of the founders of 'Save the Bay' grassroots organization created in 1961 to save the desapearing San Francisco Bay. From this organization later on the Bay Conservation and Development Commission was stablished by the State to protect the Bay, regulate development and ensure public access which at the time was almost non-existent.

Sylvia McLaughlin es uno de los fundadores de "Save the Bay", organizacion que rescato la Bahia de San Francisco en los 60's de ser secada y usada para extender la mancha urbana. Sylvia se le puede llamar algo asi como una 'leyenda viviente'.

This is one of my favore places in the world. If you see behind to the left there is 'El Capitan' one of the talles granite walls in the wold. One kilometer, or three times the hight of the 'Empire State Building'. One of the few things that still keeps me in California is that I haven'tclimb it yet, but I will.

Este es uno de mis lugares preferidos en el mundo. Atras de mi esta el 'El Capitan' uno de los muros de granito mas altos del mundo. Un kilometro o tres veces la altura del edificio'Empire State'. Unos de los pocos motivos que aun me detienen en California es que aun no lo he escalado, pero lo hare.

In 2006 I crossed the whole American Union in one shot. Driving my convertible I had one of the best experiences in my entire life, spending four months on the road and visiting over forty states and all under two thousand dollars. I'm just missing Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Island of Guam on the Pacific. The secret: being willing to sleep on the car, doing some camping, eating junk food and staying with some friends. En el 2006 cruce la Union Americana en mi convertible. Fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Pase cuatro meses en el camino visitando sobre cuarenta estados y todo con menos de dos mil dolares. Unicamente me faltan los territorios de Alaska, Puerto Rico y la isla de Guam en el Pacifico. Como lo hice? durmiendo en el carro, acampando, comiendo chatarra y visitando amigos. Quieres viajar con migo?
