Ancient Tradition of Story-Telling

Since 1974, Roi Kwabena has provided magic and wonder to the lives of thousands across the globe through the ancient craft of storytelling. He has participated in storytelling activities at Nurseries, Play Groups, Libraries, Theatres, Schools, Universities, Homes for the Elderly, Festivals, Seminars, Conferences etc., in the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. Many young people have also benefited from the cultural workshops this master Griot specifically conducted on the request of several local government bodies in the UK. Critical support and acclaim for his work has also come from various accredited agencies with independent evaluations.

Dr. Roi Kwabena is a popular choice for numerous story-telling events and caters for all ages. He has judged numerous poetry/story-telling competitions, performed for the RIF campaign-National Literacy Trust (UK), Story-Telling Guild of Leicester, Story-Telling Cafe, Museums Libraries & Archives, the National Young Librarians Group, Arts Fest, Gallery 37, KIDS Against Racism, Coventry's Multi-Cultural Festival , Luton's Forward Festival, Save the Children, Warwickshire ARTS in Education, SAMPAD, National Story-Telling Week, Peoples Cabaret (B'ham) Luton Literature Festival, Young Readers UK, Learn Direct UK, Solway Arts Festival, Bob Marley Day, Young Readers UK Book Festival, Festival of Words (St Donaths, Wales), NOIZ IN ZION, the ANANSI Foundation, UK Patois Language Project, One World Café, Black History Month, National Poetry Day and World Book Day commemorations internationally.
