Friday night check in/registration  6pm-8pm  or Saturday 7am-9am.

No Propane Allowed- Except for Friday Night cook off

A space will be given to each team.  Each team must furnish your own tables, chairs, tent, meat, beans, sauces, spices, ice, etc.     Water will be on site.  Electrical outlet limited - first come first serve. (print off entry form below for more details).

Entry fee is $40.00 per team  includes 2 t-shirts(per team) and space

5:30am-8am Check-In (SE Corner of Park- 2nd & Blake)

                        Check in (under Tent next to Stone Restrooms)

                                Staff will direct you to your area and inspect meat.  Once meat is inspected you may start your cooking.

  Water Hoses will be on site.  If you are doing Brisket and/or Pork Butt you check in Friday evening

  (Staff will be in the park at 6am if check in is needed)

                                                                                        ESC-Will have Cinnamon Rolls and Coffee on site Saturday Morning.

  • The RIBS Committee invites your team to participate in this special community event, to showcase your team to the public.
  • BBQ teams are welcome to sell any food product(s) during the Taster's Choice.
  • The public and BBQ teams will use “BBQ Bucks” as the method of monetary exchange. $1.00 = One BBQ Buck
  • BBQ Bucks are available prior to the contest and on-site until May 10, 7:00pm.
  • Teams participating receive 90% reimbursement of their Taste of Osage City product sales. 10% of sales goes back to the Rods, Ribs, & Rock Fest.
  • BBQ Bucks are counted and collected on May 10 (Saturday), before 9:00am, by the judging staff. Teams will receive a Rods, Ribs and Rock reimbursement check from the City of Ellsworth approximately one week following the contest.
  • Teams participating will receive a sign indicating to the public they are providing food.

     NOTE: You need to furnish your own tables, chairs, etc. On Friday after 6pm only one vehicle may be parked in your reserved cooking area and may not be moved until the end of the event on Saturday (5 pm).  Check-in for event is from 2pm-8pm Friday or Saturday 7am-9pm. No propane allowed. Each team needs to furnish its own meat, sauce, beans, etc.  Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, three trophy per category.

     

    RELEASE

    WAIVER OF LIABILITY In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against the  Ellsworth’s Rods, Ribs, and Rock Festival, City of Ellsworth, State of Kansas, Ellsworth Celebration’s Event, and their representatives, successors and assigns, for any and all known or unknown claims, damages, losses, judgments, and injuries suffered by an entrant to his/her person, property, or guests.
