The Blink 182 show was September 27th, 2009. I travelled all the way from my home in NC to go see them in Tampa, FL, which is another 2 hours from the area i was staying already. I managed to make it into town, due to a 20 car pileup, like an hour and a half after the concert started. It was nuts. Finally getting into the doors, after finding out they have a new purse policy, I realized that Blink was going to be playing in the next 10 mins. I missed all the other bands! I decided to spend this time getting my merch from the vendor. After waiting the whole time in that line, i managed to make it to my seat with my cousin. We were about to sit when they started playing. The show was AMAZING. I felt like they were back to their old selves, with the dirty jokes in between songs, reminded me of the Mark, Tom, and Travis show all over again! You could not beat "The Rockshow" as the third song though at all! :] After a truly awe-inspiring encore brought to everyone by the one and only Travis Barker on drums (you should youtube it if you weren't there), we went back to where the buses were. After waiting maybe three hours and being lied to multiple times by the guards, Mark came out! He was very handsome in person and i was like less than a foot from his face. He looked at me...but didn't give me a sticker like he did everyone else. I felt a pang of jealousy at that. I waited for Tom to come out after Mark left, but everyone started leaving and he didn't come out at all that night. I am under the impression that the band member, whom we couldn't see very well through the window of the bus, was Tom flicking everyone off. Although the night was not completely lost at 1am. I was able to attract the attention of a crew member backstage and he came out bearing gifts for me. A purple shirt that says "Blink 182 Local Crew" on it along with a signature by Pete Wenz, and also a Blink guitar pick...so all around the experience was great.

The Angels and Airwaves show was July 13, 2006. It took over 2 hours to get there (from Longwood,FL to Tampa, FL) and as soon as we walked up to the stage, they announced that the show was cancelled...it was pouring down rain and thundering/lightening, but the tickets said rain or shine...so i figured that it would still go on...so everyone left but a group who met up over at the fence that held all the band's buses in. I was hearing that they were waiting for the bands to come out and sign again. So obviously Tom had come out before. Of course, i missed it lol. So then as TBS slowly came out to meet people and 2 guys from AVA (which whom i got their autographs too) i heard everyone screaming Tom's name. I was OMG!! TOM! TOM!!! but all i saw was him walking away from the buses...all i saw was the back of him...soo hot. Then another 2-3 hours went by and i was beginning to wonder how long it takes them to interview Tom when he didn't even get to play that show. So then he started joking around with people, just a little, as he weaved his head between buses and what not...then he finally came over and started saying hi and signing things for people. I had lost my voice by then in so much shock at the fact that my dreams were coming true right before my eyes. By this time i had wished i brought my TD Sig. guitar with me for him to sign..that would be AWESOME...he came closer and closer and i conjured up what i was gonna say to him...i needed to mention aliens...he likes aliens...then he was there...like not even an inch from my face in the fence...my breath was shallow and my heart beat really fast and i felt like fainting from the headache i had in head and heart lol...he smiled upon me as i said hi and i handed him the AVA CD cover that the previous members had already signed...then i asked him..."Can you recite your alien encounter story for us real quick?" He laughed and was like.."Well, let me see, the alien took me and started touching me all over my body and it was weird, that's what happened." (that's what i heard, even though it was loud and his voice seemed very distant) I was like trying to say from the Urethra Chronocles 2 but i didn't want to upset him with things from his past...so i was like no....you know which one i was talking about please, please...but he was just laughing and saying no...then he moved away...Tom was soo much taller than me...taller than i ever thought he was...and in his dark brown courdaroy pants, black shoes, and white tshirt...as he flung the remainder of a sharpie backwards as he walked off in style...my last thought was holy crap he looks like my guitar teacher, only with longer hair...lol...and yes he was kind of cocky, but not really assholish...i knew that he still had some Blink in him...i just never realized how much he had lost it until now....makes me wanna cry...that such a great person who inspired soo many (especially me) seems like he's not really as caring of fans as before...i want the old Tom back..the one i thought i knew soo many years ago...
