Why we picked the Welsh Springer Spaniel
In 1999 I had finally talked my Husaband into buying our 10 year old daughter (Amanda) a dog. I have had dogs all my life and I just loved Spaniels. I had owned a welsh before when I lived with my parents and so I loved the breed. After awhile of my husband and I talked about which breed we should get. We had desided on getting an English Springer Spaniel. In Dec. of 2000 we had discovred that our beloved English (Major) had a hip problem. Making it so he would have a very short life. The vets had told us that we need to put major down. So to ease the pain for Amanda my husband and I started talking about getting a another dog so that Amanda would grow close to that dog and it wouldn't be that painful when we had to put the other dog down. I wanted another dog like my old welshie. I started looking for a welshie over the internet. We had found a lot of great people with a lot of great dogs. Finally we found the right person. Dawn Ford, had bred her Ch. Heavens Amazing Grace. To Vickie Harshman's Ch. Sagas Daydream Believer.The puppies were born June 7th 2000. I flu down to Ariazona I wanted a male, and thats how we ended up with our Sunny boy.
