Review: Bratfree My opinion of Bratfree may be a little one-sided because I personally love the site and have been there for a while, so bear with me here. This is not a cushy, ass-licking community like on TCFL, there is not a constant threat of verbal abuse like on CFEZ, there is no kowtowing to Asspies and breeders like on CF Hardcore, and the site is actually active, unlike Positively Childfree. I will say the community does tend to be a little wary of newcomers, only because of the trolls that descend upon the board every so often, and there may be an outlook of “guilty until proven innocent” among some members. Not to say new folks can't join, but when Bratfree gets trolls, they fucking get purebred, multi-disorder trolls. And by this, I don’t just mean hit-and-run trolls that charge in, tell us how immature and selfish we are, and never return. I mean unrelenting barnacle invaders that do not know when to fucking take a hike. Or even worse, the ones who make up entire fake online personas in order to fit in with us (like the person who claimed to be a CF social worker who a veteran member discovered was a Moo of three). But I gotta say, the mods take no shit from dickbag trolls and will fucking hang them out to dry if they don’t leave on their own. There have been a couple of epic trolls that just refused to go away and fancied shitting all over random topics and de-railing the discussions. Due to information only the moderators can see, the unwanted guests were examined online and their full names, locations (city, state, country) and sometimes employers were publicly posted so anyone who looks up the person’s name on a search engine would find the shitty things they said to us. Sometimes a troll is left to fester for entertainment purposes because, well, their substandard intellect is often pretty funny. Bratfree is very active with tons of new topics and replies each day, and there are other areas of discussion besides just CF-related subjects. There’s sections for talking about everyday stuff, pets, food, and a few other areas that are accessible only by legitimate members. In addition, Bratfree prohibits breeders, and it’s not really a place for fence-sitters either. There are former undecided folks who chose childfreedom, and I think there’s a step-parent or two (to adult kids). But here, there’s an abundance of crude language, a CF glossary comprised of universal childfree terms as well as stuff the members have coined, and just some overall great CF banter. If you want childfree chit-chat that isn’t foam-padded and where there’s absolutely no pandering to breeders, this is the place for you. Other CF site reviews
