People are divided quite noticeably over the issue of abortion. There's the pro-life people, and then obviously the pro-choice people...and of course, those who don't give two shits either way. I have met and spoken to far more pro-life people than pro-choice, and I know the debate over abortion staying legal is still going and has been doing so for quite a long damn time. The two-watt fucks who run this country would be totally brain-dead to make abortions illegal.

Do you know how much more child abuse there would be going on if women could not terminate unwanted pregnancies? I read an article on a childfree message board (I don't recall the name) that told of a woman who had left her very young child alone at home for three whole weeks. This child was without food, water, or clean clothes and diapers. The average human can only survive a short time without water, so I have no idea how in the fuck this little kid survived with nothing.

This woman lied to everyone, saying her child was with a babysitter, while she was out to who-knows-where. In another article found on the same site, a woman murdered her infant daughter and put her in a garbage bag with dirty diapers.

I can safely bet that, in the cases of both of these women, the pregnancies were both unwanted. These women decided not to consider adoption or abortion for unknown reasons, and because of their decisions, the children ended up being put through hell for the mere reason of being born. Abortion is an option that is available so women can actually use it when they do not want to raise a child or give birth. If abortion is made illegal, there's going to be a hell of a lot more headlines talking about women neglecting, abusing, and murdering their children. Why? Because they couldn't abort the damn pregnancies legally.

Either that, or these women will seek abortion and have it done illegally and risk facing legal repercussions at least...and possible death from botched procedures at worst. Women, whether they try to practice safe sex or are dumb-shit breeders, will be damned no matter what if abortion is made illegal...and hey, that means more unwanted children in the world. Just what we need...as if we don't already have a fucking surplus of damn kids no one wants, let's add a bunch more and stick them in the homes of the people who don't want them so they can be abused because that seems to be a steadily growing, new American dream: Having kids you don't want and that you can't afford that you can neglect or beat.

Sounds like a plan to make the next generation even more fucked up than the current one. I'll only pray, for the sake of children lucky enough not to be born into this hateful world, that abortion is kept legal.
