Adoptions are made to approved homes after you have come to Rock Haven for a meet & greet. We will provide more information on the needs of the horse you are interested in as well as what is expected from you to be the new family of a rescue animal.
Before your new friend can go home with you, Lenore, or one of our volunteer home inspectors, will make a visit to where the animal will be residing. Do not be insulted as we love each member of our growing family as much as you love yours. We also ask for 'visitation rights' to make sure things are going well for the both of you.
We do, however, ask that you make a set donation towards the care and well-being for the rest of our four-legged friends who are waiting for their new families. In case you can no longer keep your adopted pal, we ask that you contact us. They will come back to Rock Haven for re-placement in a new home. This ensures continued care for the rest of their lives.
