Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Angela McConnell and I am the artist behind Rock the Cradle Nursery.
I first discovered the world of reborning when a friend showed me a 'baby' she had created from a Berenguer doll. I was taken aback by the realism of it, and decided to have a look for myself. So armed with what I knew (which was'nt an awful lot) I scanned the reborn section on e-bay, and there she was, a beautiful doll which looked exactly like my little girl Victoria. I had to have her and paid a lot of money for her too.
When she arrived, she was'nt at all as I expected, in fact she was awful, so i contacted the seller and asked for a refund, but she refused saying I had damaged the doll. I was really upset, but then looked at the doll and thought "Oh well, nothing for it but to redo her myself"
I did exactly that and a passion was born some of my early efforts were frankly, terrible, but I persevered, and researched and made my mistakes until I reached a stage when I was ready to present my first 'baby' to the world. She sold! not for much but enough to buy my next doll, and here I am now 4 years on and still enjoying every minute that I devote to creating and delivering these precious little things.
