As it is named, this is a General Discussion Board for all kinds of topics that are directly related to members in this site. Please do not post any topic or any matters that is not suitable for this board.

Please follow the following rules when participate in this forum area. If violated, entries may be deleted, edited, or modified by the moderators, administrators, or webmaster at any time without forenotice and warning; banishment from this site may be administered as well.

I. What can you do in the forum?

1. What you can post:

You can post anything relevant to the members in this site. Remember to place your message in the correct forum area with a proper and suitable topic name; that way it is more likely to attract the attention of someone knowledgeable in the subject.
Also, it's your community, too! Let us or your fellow posters know if you feel things are getting off-topic or inappropriate. Help us get things straight here.

2. What you can't post:

A. No copyrighted or trademarked material without crediting:
You can't post copyrighted material or a reproduction of registered trade/service marks without crediting the author or owner. This means that, you may not post a verbatim copy of fan-fiction, fan-arts, or any kinds of officially published matters here in the forum without crediting. Without prior permission, you cannot direct link and post any pictures in the forum, which are hosted in someone else's site. If the matters are in your own server, but is belonged to someone else, then, you can post here, with one condition: You must credit them in the content of that certain post by posting the owner's name and a link to the page of where is that material originally is.

B. No illegal or injurious statements:
Do not post anything illegal or injurious (including libelous, defamatory, or abusive statements, obscenity, profanity, or 'pornography). Defamatory statements are, for example, statements that contain certain kinds of untrue factual information about a person or a company that is derogatory. It's okay to say that the Shounen Sunday is "bad." It's not okay to say that the Shounen Sunday is the worst published magazine out there, unless you back the statement up with proof. Likewise, it's not okay to accuse a person or company of being dishonest, committing fraud, etc. As a general rule, avoid repeating vague and unsubstantiated rumors about someone or some company. Stick to your experiences and your opinions, based on what you know not what you have heard on the grapevine. This forum is a forum for an anime fans community, not a collection of abusive statements and obscenity. Please note that all the posts within the forum area should be rated below PG-13.

C. No flames, personal attacks:
With the exception of the "Outside" forum, the Little Fighter 4 World is not a home for potty-mouths. Foul, offensive, or crude language is not welcome. The idea is to make this a pleasant environment to discuss among the members in this site, not a schoolyard, or name-calling and rock-throwing festival. This applies for personal offense, political offense, racism, 'sexism, or any other ideology which incorporates stereotypical, prejudicial, or discriminatory overgeneralizations that might intimidate or insult other members of this site.

D. No advertising, of either personal or business nature.
Do not use these forums for any commercial purpose - no solicitation of funds, no advertising, and no solicitation for goods or services. There are other sites for this purpose.

E. Don't repeat yourself.
Do not post your same opinion and idea more than once under the same topic. For example, do not post "I like Shinichi" over and over more than once in the same topic forum. After all, this is a public forum and people only want to listen to your idea once. Be considerate and leave some spaces for the other members to express their own opinions.

F. No contentious off-topic comments.
Do not post some non-sense posts which will not help the discussion going anywhere. These non-sense posts include, acknowledgements, compliments, and supports, which do not enclose with new ideas or opinions. This will distract the line of posting and close the discussion. Furthermore, do not post off-topic matters that will distract the flow of the thread; start a new thread if necessary. The monderators and administrators of the forum board reserve the right to delete posts we determine are irrelevant to the discussion in which they're posted and/or if the the nature of the thread has changed.

G. Only Chinese and English are allowed .
This forum only allows to have posts in English and/or Chinese. Inmates who are native English speakers should remember that for many other inmates, English is a second language. Allow for the possibility of misunderstandings, and be patient if someone asks for an explanation of what seems to be obvious. Even native English speakers have expressions that are unique to a particular English-speaking country. Furthermore, for members who do not understand Chinese, do not demand for any translation or force the Chinese members to write English so they can understand. Be considerate and respect other's language, since those Chinese members may not know English either. Use a dictionary for help or just simply keep quiet about that topic. And this is vice versa for English posters.

H. Avoid using one-sentence long posts and/or posting continuously.
Please don't jam up and flood the forum area with one-sentence long posts and/or posting continuously. This is unacceptable act which will cause the other members to confused and feel left-out. The moderators, administrators, and webmaster of  Little Fighter 4 World have to right to edit, accumulate and compose all entries into suitable manners. And editing may not be forewarned before hand. If you want to add addition opinion after you post, simply use the "edit" function to edit your previous post.

I. Posting the same message to multiple boards is not allowed.
Please pick the most appropiate forum for your message. Do not post the same message on several boards. Duplicate posts will be deleted.

J. Banning Policy (Three strikes and you're out for good):
While all are welcome at the Little Fighter 4 World, abuse of the rules will not be tolerated. Consistent abusers will be banned from the site. Offenders will be issued an official warning with a warning by one of the staffs. If the offender(s) receive three warnings from the staffs, then he/she will be permanently banned. Those warnings will be sent through private messages; and the banning of a member will be announced in our Member Evaluation Board.

Forum Tips

Although these tips are in general not enforced as rules (they are more like common sense), it is highly suggested you read and follow them.

• Check if your question has already been answered
Please use the Search feature of this forum to see if your question has already been asked (and possibly answered) before. If this is the case, please post in the existing thread instead of creating a new one.

• Use informative subjects
Please use informative subjects when posting new threads. Posting threads with subjects such as "help me" or "do you know.." is not recommended.

• Be patient
Give some time for the people to come and reply to your threads. Do not post every hour just to make your thread on the top of the forum board. People will answer to your threads once they read it.

• Do not double post
If you want to add something to a message you have just posted, please use the "Edit" button under your post to edit your post rather than posting a new reply.

• Watch your shift key
Do not post in all caps. Please make your posts as readable as possible for other members.

• Do not post nonsense
If you don't have anything to say in a thread or don't know the answer to a question, please do not post. Posts such as "I agree", "OK", "Me too", "What do you mean?" are also considered nonsense posts. You are not required to reply to every single thread in a forum. Please only reply if you have something useful to add to the thread.

• Write in understandable language
Even though our forum is about a detective anime, we are not playing detective games here. Please write in understandable language. Don't make us all guess what are you trying to say. In other words, please write in good English/Chinese.

• No Personal Chats
If you want to chat with another member of the forum, please use the PM feature, email or instant messengers. This is a public forum! Threads which contain large amounts of posts by just 2 members will be closed or deleted.

• No link suggestion spam
Posting links on the forum to any online games or tests or recommending certain sites are not allowed.

1. Members' Conduct:

A. The forum boards shall be used for lawful purposes only. No material shall be posted on or transmitted through the boards which violates or infringes the rights of others, which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability or otherwise violates any law. No conduct shall be undertaken that, in our judgment, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the bulletin boards. Advertising or commercial solicitation may be posted on or transmitted through the bulletin boards only with our express prior approval.

B. No material protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right shall be uploaded, posted or otherwise made available on the forum boards without the express permission of the owner of the copyright, trademark or other proprietary right. Members shall be solely liable for any damages resulting from any infringement of copyrights, proprietary rights, or any other harm resulting from any uploading, posting or submission.

C. Members hereby grant to us the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display any message posted in the bulletin boards (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or later developed.

D. Members shall not (i) select or use a member name or e-mail address of another person with the intent to impersonate that person; (ii) use a user name or e-mail address subject to the rights of any person without authorization; (iii) use a member name in violation of the intellectual property rights of any person; or (iv) use a member name that we, in our sole discretion, deem offensive.

E. The foregoing provisions of this section are for our benefit and the benefit of our affiliates, third party content providers and licensors, and each shall have the right to 'assert and enforce such provisions directly on its own behalf.

2. Disclaimer of Warranty; Limitation of Liability:

A. The Little Fighter 4 World is a semi-public forum, open to all, but subject to control of the moderators and administrators.

B. The Little Fighter 4 World is not a publisher; we do not screen posts before they are available for general viewing. Nor do we scan every posted message to determine whether it should remain available for viewing. The Little Fighter 4 World does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any post made here and therefore 'assumes no legal responsibility for any such post.

C. The Little Fighter 4 World does not edit posts. If a post violates the content rules, it will be removed, not edited or otherwise "cleaned up." However, the Little Fighter 4 World does reserve the right to manage inappropiate terms, links, spam, words, etc.

D. The content of any post is solely the responsibility of the poster, even if that poster is a member of the Board, an administrator of the Little fighter 4 World or a moderator of a forum. The Little fighter 4 World will cooperate with any valid subpoena or other legal process in supplying copies of posts and any information the Little Fighter 4 World has concerning the identity of a poster, to the extent that such information is not already available to anyone who accesses the Little Fighter 4 World site. Each user expressly agrees that use of the forum boards is at his/her sole risk. We do not warrant that the forum board will be uninterrupted or error free; nor do we make any warranty as to the results that maybe obtained from use of the forum board or as to the accuracy, reliability or content of any information provided through the posts in the forum.

E. The Little Fighter 4 World makes no claim of authorship or copyright ownership with respect to any post. Similarly, by posting, any poster expressly licenses the Little Fighter 4 World or any person subsequently posting on the Little Fighter 4 World, for the use of that post, or any part thereof, on the Little Fighter 4 World, regardless of any other claims of copyright ownership the author of the post may make. In other words, if you have written the Great American Novel (or the Great Australian Novel or some other Great and Valuable literary work) and decide to post it here, by doing so, you have agreed to let Little fighter 4 World have it be posted here and to let other inmates copy it, or parts of it, in their posts here as well.

F. The decision of the Board to delete any post reflects the Board's view that the deleted post is inconsistent with the overall goals and purposes of the Little fighter 4 World, and is not a determination that such post is obscene, libelous, or is otherwise in violation of law. Likewise, the decision of the Board to ban a poster reflects only the Board's conclusion that such poster has demonstrated an inability to conduct him/herself in an overall manner consistent with the goals and purposes of the Little fighter 4 World and is not a determination that such poster has violated any law.

G. Persons or businesses are always free to post a response to any post with which they disagree or which they believe is factually incorrect. The Board will not entertain a deletion request by anyone claiming to be harmed by mis-statements of fact in a posting unless that person has first posted a response correcting the alleged mis-statement. Absent such a response being posted, we will 'assume the complaining party either has no contradictory information or is interested only in causing mischief. The Board will consider qualifying requests that a post be deleted upon presentation of credible information tending to show that the post is false in a material respect. The Board will not entertain a request that a post containing nothing more than expression of personal opinion be deleted, even if that opinion is highly unfavorable.

H. Little fighter 4 World does not collect or distribute visitors' personal information. But, anything you post on the forum and etc. is visible to the general public. Think twice before posting any personal information (ex. phone number, home address, real name).

I. The disclaimer of liability contained in this section applies to any damages or injury caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of record, whether for breach of contract, tortious behaviour, negligence, or under any other cause of action. each user specifically acknowledges that we are not liable for the defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of third parties, subscribers, members or other users of the forum boards and that the risk of injury from the foregoing rests entirely with each user.

J. In no event will we or any person or entity involved in creating, producing or distributing the online services be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use the bulletin boards or out of the breach of any warranty. each user hereby acknowledges that the provisions of this section shall apply to all content on the forum boards.

K. We neither endorse nor are responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any opinion, advice or statement on the bulletin boards, nor for any offensive, defamatory or obscene posting made on the bulletin boards by anyone other than our employee spokespersons while acting in their official capacities. under no circumstances will we be liable for any loss or damage caused by reliance on information obtained through postings on the forum boards. <o:p></o:p>

3. Monitoring:

We, moderators, administrators, and webmaster of Little fighter 4 World, shall have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the forum boards to determine compliance with this Agreement and any other operating rules established by us. We shall have the right in our sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, or remove any material submitted to or posted on the forum boards. Without limiting the foregoing, we shall have the right to remove any material that we, in our sole discretion, find to be in violation of the provisions hereof, otherwise objectionable or stale.

Notwithstanding this right, users shall remain solely responsible for the content of their messages. Each user acknowledges and agrees that neither we nor any third party content provider shall 'assume or have any liability for any action or inaction by us or any third party content provider with respect to any conduct, communication or posting on the bulletin boards.

This is not about censorship. However, while we do not and cannot police every post, we will delete posts coming to our attention that we believe violate these rules. Occasionally, someone will complain to us about a particular post, make various threats and so on because he/she or his/her business is offended. While we believe that the Little fighter 4 World has no legal responsibility for the content of inmates' posts, for obvious reasons we'd just as soon not get entangled in lawsuits. You can do your part in helping us avoid those problems by following these rules. Of course, whether the Little fighter 4 World is liable or not; if, in a post here, you violate someone's copyright or trademark, or defame someone, you can be liable to that person.

We 'assumed that you are fully aware of and fully understood the above rules and regulations by participating in the forum areas. We are not responsible for those who violated the rules and receive "punishment."
