So you're probably all wondering who I am and what I'm up to with this charity bid. Well here's the answers

Well, as you probably know, my name is Robin, a 23 year old lad who hails from just outside Glasgow but currently living in that fine metropolis that is London, having moved here in April 2005 to find my fame, my fortune and errr, ok to move in with my amazing girlfriend Sara. I like football, socialising and things that go bump in the night. I dislike tomatoes, getting up in the morning and the vast majority of things that are green. Notable exceptions are my girlfriends face when she enviously looks at the itinary for Peru and courgettes.
In the past few years my working territories have included (but not limited to) Mobile Phone Salesman, Charity Street Fundraiser, Child Carer, Special Needs Worker, Bar Supervisor, Theatre Front of House Supervisor and PR Guru.
Why am I doing this trek? Well the answer is simple - everyone has been touched by cancer in their lives, and me more so than many. Several close family members and friends have been affected by cancer, more than one of which saw the death of friends. I am determined to raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research UK, as they do fabulous work in trying to cure cancer, tirelessly researching treatments and spending millions in the process. They need to raise as much ££ as they can in order to continue this work and this is my chance to make a difference.
By taking part in one of their international challenges (in this case TREK PERU) I am able to focus fundraising from numerous sources and hopefully raise the £4000 target required to take part in the event and get to promote the charity to as many people as I can, spreading the word of the work they do. Hopefully you can help with a donation or by bidding on something on eBay.
