Purpose and philosophy

Robin�s Nest is dedicated to encouraging children to be their best. To provide a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows children to develop at their own pace. I believe children need to have a positive self-image.

Providing:

� Fenced in play yard and walks we get lots of exercise

� Kid approved breakfast, AM snack, lunch and PM snack is served.

� Free choice of play with a large selection of blocks and toys.

� Nap / rest every day with a quilt made with love for each child.

� We learn about Jesus who loves us we listen to children�s bible stories each day. We have cute songs from Veggie Tales.

Veggie Tales or Word World maybe viewed while our lunch is being made. We say grace before meals.

� Manners are encouraged we learn how to share in a small group setting.

� We learn about the world around us by the different themes of our story time.

� Art and music and on occasion we make snacks

At Robin�s Nest we are parent-friendly. We welcome parent visits during business hours, the door is always locked for our protection, just knock. I seriously consider all parent suggestions and comments. Parents may call during business hours or until 8 PM.

Age grouping and size

Family Childcare License:

6 children no more than two infants under the age of 24 months

3 before and after school children

six in the summer

During the summer my license limit is six children. I accept children from ages infants to age five. Children who were enrolled before first grade may stay until age 12. I like having less children then my license allows usually no more than five children at a time .

About Robin:

Married 31 years, my husband Jeff is very supportive of my career of having a childcare business in our home. We have two adult daughters. I started Robin's Nest in 1985 when our children were two and three years old. I love what I do and hope Lord willing I will have Robin's Nest until retirement. I am of the Christian faith, I pray and study my bible before I open my doors in the morning hoping to do my best for God. I have a hobby of quilting, I exercise. I love spending time with my family. In the past I had taught Sunday school for ten years and was a Sunday school superintendent for several years. For over three years now I volunteer do a children's sermon once a month. We have one cat Salem and one dog Abbey and two parakeets Lemon and Lime.
