Starting a new project as I correct my next release: Short Stories of Twisted Tales...The release after Bloodbreeders 4: Lies Beneath London....
Her Blood: My new project, is another vampire tale with a new twist~
The night Kelly Roberts was attack by a rogue vampire who wanted nothing more than to rape her of her blood and then rob what little money she had, would change her reclusive existence forever... and leave the rogue dead from a simple drink of her blood???
Many rogues had taken over the nights of the south side of the city and those who were unfortunate enough to live in that area had to keep their wits about them, if they wanted to stay alive.... Or keep from becoming one who would soon do the same that had been done to them. Some changed, depending on how they died. If the attacker left them with their head they more than likely came back. If many fed on one, they came back manic. Most in the slums took for substance and only what they needed, then taking what their meal had in the way of cash or jewelry. If the vampire took things too far they would remove the head to keep from over populating their territory, or being tracked for their crime. The government had band it illegal by death if a vampire was caught taking blood without permission, and their whole gang could be taken out if a member was convicted of taken a life or changing an unwilling participant.
Kelly's parents had little choice but to give her the garlic tablets when she was a small child, due to her being allergic to the bite of mosquitos and fleas. And Little Rock had it's fair share of both. Now an adult and still taking them, with her rare blood type and the strange death of the rogue on her apartment floor, she was now wanted by the government as well as the vampire community.
The government has it plans on her for what runs through her veins and the vampires want her because she carries the cure to their demise. The bitch of it all is.....they both want her dead!
Two males will come into her life: One will be human and one will be a vampire! One will want to love her in every way, one will be repulsed and both will do it in secrecy. One will betray her while the other will truly try to save her life. Who will work for who and which one will she choose? Kelly is in for the fight of her life and she will have to come up with many ways to survive both man and beast.
I cannot get this story out of my head and have already started it. ; )
Have a great day...Big Hugs~

Friday Frights is a running series of short horror stories that I am putting together in mini-weekly reads, to later bring them altogether in one years time and create the novel called Friday Frights. I write these as I go starting Sep 1st, with not knowning what will come to life until the following week. Each short read will be spread out through one month, unless of course, I go over and need that extra week to kill out the read...no pun intended.
I will be adding a few comments after each story, with the commenters name, in the book that will be submitted. So be sure to leave a good one and add those things that have made you go jump in the dark. ; )
The first portion of Friday Frights will began the first Friday in September....They will be graphic at times and always filled with some form of blood, gut and gore. There will be a special page on my blogspot for FF and the stories will also be placed on the main page. Just click on the Friday Frights Logo cover and it will take you right to my other blog.
Hosted by: Hellfire Publishing
Inspired by fact and fiction from the world of the unknown and dedicated to all who love a good chill from time to time. ; )

Please enjoy a taste of this amazing read in the Blurb and Excerpt below then go friend her Fan page on Facebook...You never know what she is up to or what she may be giving away. Links to Keira's book and her Facebook are below!
At the tender age of five years old Corey Nolan witnessed her father be humiliated, robbed and burned alive, while she hid in the bushes…helpless. That day instilled in her, a lifelong aversion to fire.
Now as a grown adult with a new lease on life, she befriends three firemen when she takes a spill on the curb of a local Chicago firehouse on her way to work. They each become a part of her life in one way or another, especially Jake Gilroy the smoking hot firefighter who seems to always be there for her. Her life is destined for happiness…
Until…it becomes painfully obvious that someone is hell bent on destroying her life. Corey is falling hard for Jake, but when it comes to her fears, her need for Jake may be more than desire—it may be a matter of life and death...
Jake slid his fingers down her arm and across her wrist. A spark lit through her. She gasped and her gaze locked with his. She made no attempt to draw away. Corey couldn’t…she didn’t want to.
“How is it?” he glanced at her scraped and bruised elbow.
Coming out of the trance, she lifted her arm and showed him the slight injury. “Oh, it’s fine.”
“I would have been over sooner, but the other guys got you, and I didn’t want you to be overwhelmed.”
Corey couldn’t conjure up a response. What he said, and how he said it, turned her knees to jelly. She felt like the high school girl who was just noticed by the popular jock. She couldn’t stop staring at his soft, dark brown eyes, even though a sensible voice in her head told her to just walk away and forget him.
“I’m very sorry. But I really have to go.” She peeked around his massive chest to the men beyond. “It was so nice meeting you guys,” she called over, waving. She turned to pick up her bike, then pushed it along and hopped on.
“Stop by anytime,” she heard Jake yell behind her.
She smiled but didn’t turn around. Glancing at her watch, she’d realized she was supposed to have started her first day of work eight minutes ago. Fear made her petal faster.
She hoped she hadn’t lost the job already. But what if she did? How would she pay rent? How would she feed Molly?

Taking notes….Do you do it with your work?
I wish I could say that I do. But I don’t. The closest thing to notes that write down are the names of my characters when I have more than a few in a long novel. I don’t add side notes about their personality, because that’s already in my mind. For some odd reason, I don’t write down anything else. If something is eating on my mind, I just open a new page and start writing a new read right from the beginning..LOL.
I get asked a great deal about the notes that I take, or I have others talk about the importance of writing down the out-line of the novel you’re going to be writing. I have even read where others keep a tablet so they won’t forget a thought when they‘re away from home. When I began writing five years ago a tablet was all that I had…then I got a computer and didn’t know that I needed to keep notes..LoL. I threw out the tablets and learned how to peck on a keyboard.
I often wonder why I’m so different. I mean, I know why I’m different where life is concerned, because I choose to be a semi-reclusive person. But why I write the way I do boggles even my mind. There are times when I don’t think…I just sit down and here comes a wild short horror read. Or say NaNo comes about. I wait, pick a title so I can put it on my NaNo page, then on November one, I sit down and hit it. No notes, maybe some premeditated thought…but then I just go nuts and write a book? I can look at an old tree and see a story, or watch a show like Hoarders and come up with a really freaky read. I can have a single thought turn into a full length novel, but can’t explain why or how any of it works..LOL
Am I saying its bad to takes notes, heck no. I wish I had that habit…if I did take notes, I wouldn’t remember where I left my tablet anyway..LOL. Or one of my grand-babies would use it for a color book. I just say go with your own flow and do what works for you! I may not be able to remember what I ate last night, but for some very strange reason, I can open any project that I’m working on and keep going without a problem. I must have selective brain cells???
Never stop writing, no matter how ya go about it. It’s the love that you have in what you do that counts. I don’t know why it took me 40 plus years to open this old mind and realize that I could do this…but here I am. It wasn’t a life long dream, but it’s damn sure a dream come true!!!
God Bless and Thanks to all who have believed in me thus far…..

Have you ever had unfinished projects and a set time to get them complete...then turn around and find yourself opening a new page and starting a new novel?
It is something that I find myself doing all the time! I was laying in bed last night, or in the wee hours of this morning, unable to sleep, because of this story that would not go away. So, I opened my laptop and wrote the first 2k to get it out of my head enough to rest. Nine out of ten times the title will slap me across the face, then the story just happens...not this time. I wrote the first chapter before the title hit me....Sacred Love....My main character was waiting. She has been building in my mind for a while and I brought her out and place her in this read. Rie Aki, was born in Hawaii, but raised on the main land. Her life was all that any young woman could have dreamed of...until one unfortunate evening as she drove her motorcycle to the store, just a few blocks from her home.
Rie wakes seven years later from a coma, missing part of the body she once had. She will find herself having to learn life as if she was being reborn, and in a sense...she is. Love will have to prove itself to her, because it will be the last thing that she thinks she will be able to deal with....that is, until he shows up. Matt Lamar is a worker on the ranch that Rie goes to, to learn how to start over with two prosthetics that she doesn't want the outside world to know about. At least not until she is comfortable with the new life she has been given.
I truly love this little romance and can't wait to see where it leads me. This will be one of those 'few' months where I do my best to write not one, not two, but three different reads. One novella, one short novel, and who knows how long Sacred Love will be?
So...here is my goal for the next two months. I plan on finishing:
Silver Linings....The sequel to Uncertain Meanings...Decadent Publishing
Damnation: The Beginning....The novella to my short story Damnation....where it goes?????
Sacred Love.....I plan on sending it in to ....Decadent Publishing....with high hopes, and even higher hopes if they take it, that I get the same editor. She really understands how I write and can shape a book like no ones business!!!!!! Rie, this book is for you! I sure hope DP likes it.
I am giving myself 60 days to complete this goal and if all goes well, I will get it done! I have 15 pages in Silver Linings, 22 pages in Damnation The Beginning, and 8 pages in Sacred Love..LOL. We're only talking about 500 pages left to write, with I have no idea how many characters to build.... but what's a goal without a little challenge? I will have my grand-babies three days out of the week, so I will have to double time my writing when I don't. To be honest I will be happy if I finish one of these, but I will be in Hog Heaven if I can do all three..LOL.
Well, that's about it for now. I will make post to keep everyone up-to-date on how the goal is going. It will all start Monday, March the 28th and end May the 28th.....I sure hope I can do this!!!!
