Get More Traffic To Your Site

Having trouble getting traffic to your site? Well there are many different ways to get more people to come to your site.

Search Engines

A very important thing to do is to submit your site to search engines. Most sites get about 20% of there traffic from search engines. To submit your site to search engines I recommend www.addme.com. They submit your site to 14 major search engines for free. Including google and alexa! When adding your site to search engines make sure you give good keywords, so people can find what they are looking for easy.

Tell A Friend

This method is very simple. All you do is tell your friends and family about your site and they will go to it and maybe even tell other people. This is a good way to get started.

Affiliation

Affiliation is a great way to get more people to come to your site. First of all, affiliation is when you place a link of someones else's site on your homepage and they do the same on there homepage. If you find a site that you want to affiliate with then first check to see if the accept affiliates. If they do, then send an email or something to the webmaster with your site URL. Also, you should make a affiliation page on your site so people can apply to affiliate with you. The more affiliates you get, the more hots and traffic you get!

Banner Exchanges

Another great wat to get more hits is through a banner exchange. A banner exchange is where you sign up and then you submit your banner to them and they will palce it on other sites. All you have to do is place an html code on your site so they can place other members banners on your site. Topsite Listings

Many sites have topsite listings. Topsite lists are a list of sites in the order of votes or hits they get on a certain site. I recommend that you join a lot of topsites cause if someone just scanning through the topsites see your site they might click on it. For example, someone might say "Hey that site is #4 on the topsites! Cool! I'll check ot out!" or something like that.

Secret Showing

Now this is my own secret method that may work if you try it. What you do is post your website on different places not on the internet. For example, say your at a baseball game and you see a lot of carvings on the bleacher, then carve your site address into the bleacher too. When people see it they might go to it. There many different methods of doing this and I think you can figure out plenty of places to do it at. Like maybe a public bathroom or an amusement park. Just don't get caught!
