Get Rid Of The Rate Limit

As you know the rate limit limits you to the amount of messages you can send in a given amount of time. Which can be very annoying at times. To get rid of the rat limit simply directly connect to your buddy then you can send as many messages you want without having to wait for your rate limit to go back to normal.

Get Rid Of The Test Limit

As you probably know, you can only type a cetain amount of text per message. Like the rate limit this can be very annoying at times. But all you have to do to get rid of it is once again directly connect to your buddy. Then you can type messages with a million letters if you want to.

Chat With Out Being Signed On

This one is one of my favorites. There are 2 ways to do it though. The first way is to directly connect to your buddy. Then simply sign off but keep your message box open. Then just start chatting with your buddy! The second way only works with aim 5.5 or later. Simply click on the eye next to your buddy list so it shuts. To other buddies you will then appear to be offline. Then start chatting with someone and watch them get spooked!

Send A Secret Voice Message(Requires Microphone)

This one is really cool to scare your buddy. First directly connect to your buddy. Then while chatting with him/her press f12, that will allow you to record your voice for 10 seconds and it will be sent to your buddy! Good way to scare them!

Fake Away Message

Make sure you have your own name on your buddy list before performing this trick.

1. Click on the wrench on your buddy list. 
2. Click on Away Messages
3. On the left side, click on whatever away message you want to use
4. Click the "I'm Away" button...this will open up the Away window
5. Now, using your space bar/enter key/mouse, hit the "I'm Back" button (closing the away window), then click the "I'm Away" button. Do this very fast, but at a steady rythym, ending up with the Away window closed.

If you did it correctly you will see the yellow papers next to your name on your buddy list!

Going Into Your Friends Screen Names

Now this one is just fun. If you ever let your friends use your aim at your house this can be done. Before you sign into aim look for there name on your list. It should be there. Since aim automatically saves your password you will be able to login to there account!(unless they were smart and turned of save password) Now you can talk to the people on there buddy list and they will think that it's your friend and not you!
