Road Runner Pound 112

The orginal Pound in the Valley of the Sun

GROWL of  5 October, 2008

Growl was hosted by and held at the Dawg House of PUP Jerry D. Walker and his wife Mary Ellen.

Growl opened with proper ceremony by Pound Keeper PDD Frank Alger, SR. at 1510.

Dog Robber called roll call of Pound Officers. All Officers on board except Mad Dog who was excused.

Dog robber read scratching of last growl and also gave financial and membership reports. All reports approved by Pound (Financial report subject to audit)

Roadrunner Pound 112 received a certificate and a letter of gratitude from Marines Helping Marines for our donations of $100 Bones. We also received a letter from the Past Pack Leader and Current Dept. of Arizona Commandant John Walker thanking us for our donation of $100 bones to the Dept of Arizona Scholarship fund.

After discussing fund raising projects and other MODD business we move on to the business of nominating, electing, and installing 2009 Pound 112 Officers. Ther were no multiple candidates nominated for any of the offices so the Dog Robber was instructed to cast one unanimous ballot for the entire staff. That was done after each nominee agreed to serve. The following Dawgs were installed into office by Past Pound Keeper, PNC Eddie MacIntyre:

Pound Keeper--- PDD Frank Alger, SR.

Sr. Vice Pound Keeper-- DD Tom Solnit

Jr. Vice Pound Keeper-- PUP Bill Ebright

Smart Dog-- PDD Tom Schwarz

Dog Trainer/Watch Dog-- DD Frank (Gunny) Alger

Mad Dog-- DD Dan Herrera

Police Dog-- PUP John Malta

Barking Dog-- PUP Jerry Walker

Dog Robber-- PDD Eddie MacIntyre

Tentative schedule for 2009 growls of Roadrunner Pound 112 is as follows:

Feburary 1, 2009-- Tom Solnit hosting

May 3, 2009-- Bill Ebright hosting

August 2, 2009-- John Malta hosting

October 11, 2009-- Frank Alger, Sr. hosting

Growl closed with proper ceremony at 1610 and we enjoyed delicious chow and told each other USMC “Gospel Truth” Sea Stories.

Respectfully Submitted,

Semper Fi and “WOOF-WOOF”
