Our only dogs here are American bulldogs that are farm raised companions and they always put in a good hard days work. most of our dogs are double Registered N.K.C.(National Kennel Club) and A.B.A.(American Bulldog Association.) Our dogs are not kennnel dogs they rearly see concreate and our pups are raised on the ground where they can play and be well socialized and get plenty of exercise and not in cages. Pups are vaccinated starting at 4 weeks then again at 6 weeks Deworming starts at 3 weeks and is repeated every 2 weeks.
Is to produce well socialized, stable, strong, largeboned bullies capible of hard work with clean breathing.
In my opinion American bulldogs are the absolute best breed of dog and right hand companion there is out there.
They are a Gladiator that is totally loyal, strives to please their owners, has a high protection drive and yet idolizes children. American bulldogs are a criminals worst nightmare. If threatened they Will give their life for the protection of their family.
I highly recommend this breed if you are interested in an everything dog / companion rolled into one. American bulldogs are wonderful family additions, from working stockdog, guardian, and yes they make the best hunting dog you'll ever own, to having fun playing tug of war games.
When family is layed back so are they. I have noticed though in this breed the spoiled rotten ones dislike seperation from the family. I pretty much sum them up as having another child rather than a dog.
American bulldogs are very easily trained, and by all means should be socialized at a young age. This will not alter by any means the protection drive in this breed but only sharpen and tone their natural abilities that was bred into them.
We have tried to come up with at least one thing we dislike about Ab's and we finally figured it out and that is they just don't out live us. Average age is (and this isn't written in stone) 8-10 years and that's just not long enough for such a wonderful friend.
