Nottawasaga River Rats
Welcome to the official home of the Nottawasaga River Rats. The River Rats are excited to anounce that for the 2008-2009 season they will be playing out of the Andy Anderson Arena in CFB Borden.
Those aren't the only changes for this years team. This year the River Rats have adopted a new look to go along with many new faces and a new home. New executive, coaching and support are making this years team one to proud of.
The Nottawasaga River Rats were formally known as the Georgian Bay River Rats and played out of the Beaver Valley Recreation Center in Thornbury, Ontario
This year the River Rats will play a 20 game regular season in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Sr.A Hockey League. 10 games will be played at home and 10 games on the road. Each team in the WOAA will play a home and home series against the other teams in the Conference.
Rats Season Comes to an End
The Nottawasaga River Rats announce February 1st that they will not be participating in the 2008 - 2009 playoffs. For both financial reasons and for reasons of the availability of players and ice time throughout the playoffs, the team has opted out of the playoof runfor 2008 - 2009.
The Nottawasaga River Rats would like to thank all of their fans from this season and look forward to seeing you all out at our home games to support the team in 2009 -2010.
