Rising Star~Rising Sun

About me....

I am a small hobby kennel just getting started in Chihuahuas. I have been "in the dogs" for about 30 years...just a bigger version...the Chow Chow. I always said I would "never" have one of these...and here I am dearly in love with a well bred and raised little Chihuahua.Thanks to a friend showing me what great little "companion" dogs they truly are I find myself letting others know this too.

Even though I am new to the breed, I am striving to produce healthy and correct little dogs and will hopefully have one of my own in the show ring soon.

I also am currently breeding and raising Pekingese and Shih-tzu. They are both delightful little toy breeds, easy to live with, and each bringing their own characteristics to their homes. I use the prefix of "Rising Sun" for these two breeds. It was well after I had these two breeds that I started in the Chihuahuas, only to find another kennel using the name "Rising Sun". In fact, I have a new little boy from  "Rising Sun"....so for my Chihuahuas I chose the name "Rising Star"....
