The girls decided to take Dexter and Ripley with us for Thanksgiving in Nebraska. We made a few stops along the way.
On the way to Nebraska, we stopped at Burger King for lunch. Ripley and Dexter were very excited to get their own crowns. They had fun hanging out with Bella, Nadia's bear.
While we were there, Ripley and Dexter decided to make a donation for our troops. Ripley and Dexter both say "We support our troops!"
After stuffing themselves full of turkey, Ripley and Dexter decided to see the sites of downtown Fremont.
Fremont has all these statues of fish, painted with different scenes. Ripley wanted to see all of them.
Dexter and Ripley thought this one was funny. It was in front of a shoe store.
Dexter and Ripley stopped to visit another bear. They liked his hat.
Ripley hopes to see the real Statue of Liberty some day, but for now, she thought it would be neat to see this one!
After they got done touring Fremont, Dexter and Ripley had to say goodbye to each other. Dexter would be going home with us, and Ripley would stay behind with her next host family, who was taking her to SD.
We can't wait to hear about her adventures in SD.

Dexter is home for Thanksgiving, so Ripley got to meet him for the first time. Natasha and Nikita decided to take them to the library. They enjoyed it there, but didn't get any books, as both of them will be headed back out on the road before too long. Ripley will be off to South Dakota, and Dexter will be off to Alabama.
