The amygdala is a region located at the base of the brain, known as the place of fear. The band Amygdala started in 2003 and play improvy free jazz. Last year, 2004, they played their first show outside Ireland by invitation of the world famous Termite Club in Leeds, UK. It's members are Dave Carroll on drums, Fergus Cullen on guitar, Paul Roe on bass clarinet and Gavin Prior on percussion.
In 2004 they released their debut self titled album on Deserted Village.
