The ONTARIO STANDARDBRED SHOW SERIES
In 2009, the inaugural year of this series, there will be three shows. Points earned at these shows will be tabulated to determine the 2009 Year End Champion & Reserve Champion in each division. The awards will be presented at a luncheon at Grand River Raceway, Elora on Sun, Nov 1st.

The standardbred has long been recognized for its abilities at the harness racing tracks. Its calm disposition and willingness to learn make it easy to retrain for riding. While many standardbreds have made the transition from track to show ring, the breed's abilities are still a well kept secret in the equine communities. Our association will recognise the accomplishments and abilities of the standardbred horse in conventional horse sports as well as offering newly developed gaited show classes where the standardbred's inherent abilities can be developed and appreciated. Whatever your equine interests you can find it with the standardbred.
